Tampa, Florida, USA. Reported 29th July. Channel 12 news in Jacksonville, FL , during the noon news on July 29, 1998, showed a videotape of a crop circle near Tampa, FL. It is of the dumbell variety. The larger circle is about 85 ft in diameter, according to the report. It was connected to a smaller circle by what appeared to be a 10 or 15 ft thin, straight path. This is not a "high-art" type circle, but it had the appearance of a clean, well executed, simple design with an evenly swirled central grounds. Reported by George Demme |

Manitoba *Preliminary Report*j Also, will have aerial shots of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan dumbell within next few days, plus additional photos of Conquest and Outlook, Saskatchewan. Esterhazy has been sampled, samples being sent to Levengood. Conquest and Outlook will be sampled this week. |

Outlook, Saskatchewan, Canada. Reported 18th August Two more circle reports from Saskatchewan were received by CPR-Canada on August 19. Two sets of circles (in two locations), total of nine circles. The two locations are about two miles apart, and some distance from the first reported dumbell formation (August 16) at Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. So we now have three reports to date, total of nine circles and one pictogram since August 9. |

Stuttgart to Manheim, Germany. Reported 9th August While travelling from Stuttgart--Germany--.as I travelled from stuttgart to manheim last Tuesday I saw a nice little circle besides the autobahn(highway). I couldn't stop.but as I travelled back to that place on Thursday with my son and after a 30 minutes walk in the sun we arrived at the corn field.the circles diameter was about 15-20 meters.to me it looked real--the way the corn was pressed down. |

Hippolytushoef, Wieringermeer, Noord Holland. Reported 10th August Just before the end of the season a formation has been found in Hippolytushoef in the Wieringermeer, province of Noord Holland. Consisting of three circles, connecting pathways and one more ring, if my information is right, I got a phone call a few hours ago. This is all I know for the moment. Reported by Anneco |

Idar-Oberstein, Rheinland-Pfalz - Germany. Reported May 30th 1998 Description: Single circle with standing centre in marshland-grass -sedge-like of 2 - 4 meters in diameter. Special notes: It was discovered at the area of the KAMA-Alternative-Rock festival. Many people visiting the festival visited also the little circle so it was badly damaged by them. A friend of mine who saw it there, said the circle was mostly destroyed just the next day May 31st 1998. So no more information or photos are available. And nobody can say if it was just a joke by the festival-people or the real thing. Reported by Andreas Muller |

The first formation in Israel for 1998. A Half circle 26m with attached tail was discovered on April 16th 1998 at Lower Galilee in wheat. The first crop circle formation has appeared in the country of Israel, which hasn't been without its UFO sightings over the last couple of years. Perhaps the appearance of this crop circle formation in Galilee could indicate a dramatic shift with regard to the phenomenon. A crude design based on the reports that we have received, but it may have a link to our own, which have just started to appear. ( An interesting time ahead I feel.. |
