The first crop circle formation in Canada for this year was reported to the main CPR-Canada office on August 18. A large dumbell pattern in barley was first found by the farmer on August 16 near Esterhazy, Saskatchewan. According to initial reports, the formation consists of a main "circle", actually a set of concentric rings, about 75 feet across, with a straight
pathway about 10 feet long ending in a small circle 12 feet across. The ring of standing crop between the flattened concentric rings is only about 2 inches wide, according to a local reporter who was in the formation soon after discovery. CPR-Canada and BLT are in the process of trying to acquire adequate samples for lab testing. Further details, diagrams, etc. as soon
as they are available.

Esterhazy has been sampled (Daniel Clairmont, MUFON), with samples going to Levengood.
