Another major Oregon crop circle has been reported from southern Oregon near Klamath Falls. The details are as follows are as I understand them from Nancy Talbot of the BLT and the newspaper:

The local newspaper carried a colour photo on page one on October l3, l998 but no article. The formation is big. It is an equilateral triangle with each side being about 200 ft.. There is a downed circle in the centre of the triangle. The inner circle does not touch the triangle edges. Around each point of the triangle there is a "ringed" circle. These rings do not go through the edges of the triangle but end at the edges. It looks in balance and very geometrical. It is in barley in a field that has swampy areas on the sides. The formation is visible from houses on a nearby hill. It is on the west side of Lake Ewauna. Permission was obtained to go in from the lumber company that owns the land. Sampling was done for BLT by Jean Bilodeaux. The formation was fresh when she went in and there was no evidence of anyone else being in before her, no pathways, no tramlines, no tracks other than the ones she made. It is believed that the formation had only been there a short time before the newspaper photo was taken. As far as I know, no one got aerial views but only pictures from the hill nearby. Evidentially, this field has already been harvested.

I would like to thank Kris Sherwood for calling me yesterday and reporting that this formation occurred in Oregon.

I have obtained the photo from the newspaper. It is a lovely formation.  The fifth formation for the Pacific Northwest this year and the third for Oregon.
