We would like to thank Lucy Pringle for flying over this formation
knowing how far it is out of the normal flight paths taken by most aerial
photographers for crop circles.

Reconstruction of the
2006 Rollright Stone Circle formation

By Zef Damen

This is a rather spectacular event, it is made up of a large segmented ring of nine flattened areas, a second inner ring of nine flattened areas, a smaller ring of nine swirled areas with tufts and a central area which is swirled with a tuft. It is well layed with no obviously broken stems. The swirls are neat and as I said tufted.. Around the perimeter are nine narrow arcs, also well made.

It is fairly easy to access, follow the footpath from the Rollrights as far as the field gate. You can enter the tram lines from here and walk back 4 tram lines , this should take you to the middle of the formation.

I couldn't find any post holes in the formation but it is well made.

UPDATE

Just a quick note regarding the Rollright stones formation. I visited the formation on Monday, its in the field between the stone circle and the whispering knights.  The formation is nine fold geometry, it has a star at the centre then expands outwards with petal then squareish shapes in a Mandela effect.

The geometry seems perfect from the ground, the lay is beautiful in places but a trifle scruffy in others. I would approximate the size as 200 to 250 feet in diameter.  Overall its a pretty impressive formation considering what the season has produced so far and it would be a shame not to get an overhead shot especially considering its close proximity to Rollright stones.
