Reconstruction of the
2006 Rollright Stone Circle formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed nonagon (regular 9-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Draw all nine inner diagonals of nonagon 2 (to every fourth angular point).

4. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the second set of intersections of diagonals 3, as shown.

5. Construct the inscribed nonagon of circle 4, pointing down.

6. Copy circle 1 to the lower angular point of nonagon 5.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 6 at the upper side.

8. Construct the inscribed nonagon of circle 7, pointing up.

9. Copy circle 1 nine times, to the angular points of nonagon 8.

10. Only circles 9 are required for the reconstruction.

11. Leave out parts invisible in the formation itself.

12. Colour all areas corresponding to standing...

13. ...or to flattened crop. This finishes the reconstruction of the 2006 Rollright Stone Circle formation.

14. The final result matches fine with the aerial image.
