Devil’s
Den of August 12, 2012 showed a thematic continuation of Longwood
Road of August 5, which suggested seven “triangles of light and
shadow” at the Pyramid of Kukulcan
A
majority of crop pictures from the summer of 2012 have shown themes
associated with (i) the current astronomy of Venus, or (ii) NASA
Curiosity Rover landing on Mars (see
milk hill 2). Several crop pictures have also shown themes
associated with (iii) an astronomical alignment of Saturn, Spica and
Mars (see
longwood road or
wrekin).
Recently
on August 5, a new crop picture at Longwood Road was interpreted in
terms of “seven triangles of shadow and light”, appearing on a
northern stairway of the Pyramid of Kukulcan, during some equinox
(see
longwood road). Thus when the Devil’s Den crop picture appeared
on August 12, and showed images from a “step pyramid”, that theme
was already in many people’s minds:

Could
Devil’s Den of August 12 represent a thematic continuation of
Longwood Road from August 5, where the paranormal crop artists are
showing us a specific series of pictures to “tell a story”?
A Mayan
calendar of the Moon, drawn metaphorically to resemble a multi-level
stairway from the Pyramid of the Moon
Several
aspects of the Devil’s Den crop picture bring to mind an autumn
equinox in Chichen Itza. Seven “triangles of shadow and light” will
appear there, along a northern staircase of the Pyramid of Kukulcan,
on September 22, 2012.
The
multi-level “stairway” which was drawn in crops appears “broken” or
divided into five smaller segments containing 7, 8, 7, 7 or 7
stairs each. This was done apparently to suggest “36 days”
in a Mayan lunar calendar from August 17 (a new Moon) to September
22 (a first-quarter Moon, and also the autumn equinox).
We can
count 7 or 8-day intervals from a new Moon on August 17, to a
first-quarter Moon on August 24, to a full Moon on August 31, to a
last-quarter Moon on September 8, to another new Moon on September
15, then to another first-quarter Moon on
September 22 (see
www.calendar-365.com). Visible differences of lunar phase would
thus be counted every 7, 7, 8, 7 or 7 days:

The
“broken stairway” which was drawn in crops, to represent
metaphorically a 7-day lunar phase calendar, also resembles the
stairway from another Mayan pyramid at Teotihuacan, called the
Pyramid of the Moon, Very clever! We can only express our
admiration to whoever designed this remarkable crop picture, then
drew it carefully in a field.
