Waverton, Nr Chester, Cheshire. Reported 13th July.
A single circle.
Tibbenham, Nr Wicklewood, East Anglia. Formed Late July.
A single ring was formed between a set of tramlines, which caused quite a sensation on the local TV and with the press.
West Beckham, Nr Sherringham, East Anglia. Formed late July.
It comprised of a ring with a small central circle and two satellites which formed a straight line with the main central ring.

Preston, Nr Stratford, Warwickshire. Formed 23rd July.
Two circles 40 feet and the other 10 feet were located near the A34. Another circle appeared at Meon Hill near Quinton.
Great Dunmow, Nr Chelmsford, Essex. Formed 26th July.
Two pattern in a field near the farm of Great Dunmow, the first one was a 10 metre diameter circle, with two smaller circles placed each side with a small pathway connected to the main circle. The other was located 5 metres and was similar in size. Placed around it was a 375 metres outer ring emanating from the central circle was a pathway cutting through the outer ring and splaying out into a right angle bar with two directional lays.

Clanfield, Nr Petersfield, Hampshire. Reported 27th July.
A single circle near the A3(M) road.
Buckworthy, Devonshire. Formed late July.
A seven circle complex pictogram with central pathway connecting 5 circles with two additional circles placed each side of the rear section circle. Two boxes were added between the large axis circle and the end section.
Pepperbox Hill, Nr Salisbury, Wiltshire. Formed late July.
Three circle pictogram with connecting ring placed inside the ring were two rectangle troughs each side of the central pathway. A smaller formation was positioned in the same field four days after the first one, this time with only two circles positioned close together with a pathway and two arcs connecting them.
Manor Farm (Nr the Aerodrome), Sibson, Nr Wansford, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Reported 27 July.
A large circle with a central circle. The larger circle was connected to a ring on its outer edge and placed within the ring. The same pattern appeared in 1995 at Roundway Hill. See 1995 reports.

Wortham, Nr Diss, Suffolk. Formed July 30th.
Two circles of 18 feet were found in a remote part of a farmers land. The farmer was convinced they were formed by the weather because of the frequent whirlwinds in the area.
Aberystwyth, West Wales. Formed August.
One of a few circles which appeared in Wales happened near the town of Aberystwyth. It was 18 feet in diameter on a 180 acre barley crop.
Whetstone, Nr Blaby, Leicestershire. Formed August.
A single circle five circle feet in diameter.
Garth Farm, Hambleton Village (A63), North Yorkshire. Reported 1st August.
A single circle flowing anti-clockwise. 66 feet in diameter. No evidence of broken stems.
Cleave, Nr Newton St Petrock, North Devon. Reported 2nd August.
A pictogram made of two rings 40 feet to 5 feet on a very remote field, one mile from made of two rings 40 feet to 5 feet on a very remote field, one mile from road.

Ten satellites set around a large inner circle. UFO seen night before. (red glow and two red lights over Hopton.
Fritzroy Farm, Bratton, Nr Westbury, Wiltshire. Reported 3rd August.
A single 63 feet circle.
Wilderness Farm, Stowbridge, Cambridgeshire. Reported 3rd August.
Two single circles side by side. One with a narrow outer ring. Approx. 20 feet in diameter.
Milton St Farm, Nr Long Man of Wilmington, Dorset. Reported 3rd August.
A large circle with connecting bar and a smaller isolated circle with a separated bar at 90 degrees to the larger circle.
Sedgehill, Tyne and Wear, Nr Newcastle. Formed August.
A 39 foot formation appeared just outside of Sedgehill. It contained an 8.2 by 6.25 metres triangle with a straight pathway leading out from its apex. The pathway formed a perfect pentangle offset from its straight section.

A set of circles in alignment with Mill hill.
St Ippolyts, Nr Stevenage, Hertfordshire. Formed 5th August.
A Single circle beneath local the hill, 20 feet in diameter with central standing crop forming a ring design.
Stillington (on the B1363), Nr York. Yorkshire. Reported 7th August
A single circle 25 yards in circumference with two yards of the wheat standing up. Another Ring was reported in Brandsby near Stillington a week before.

Two 30 feet diameter circles 20 yards apart.

Windsor, Nr Slough, Berkshire. Formed 9th August.
A large single 80 feet in diameter located on the Windsor to Slough relief road on land owned by Eton College.
Southfield Farm, Wyton. Reported 11th August.
A single 20 ft circle formed near the hill. The lay was in an anti-clockwise direction.
Astley, Nr Leigh, Lancashire. Reported 14th August.
A Celtic cross formation next to the canal adjacent to the former Astley Pit.

A set of three circles with usual UFO report the night before.
Callington, East Cornwall. Reported 16th August.
A 40 ft circle. Clockwise direction lay.
Corneys Farm, Home Fen, Ramsey, Nr Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Reported 21st August.
A single circle 15 ft in diameter. Perfectly formed. The farmer mentioned that the soil was very fine, "It would have been impossible for anyone to have got to the circle without leaving footprints."

I had a letter this week from someone living in Norfolk who was telling me about some circles he visited at Sutton Bridge a few miles north of Wisbech in Norfolk. He thinks the year was probably 1990. Rita Gould and a local man were also there and the local said that he had woken in the night the circles had appeared and seen a bright light from his bedroom window. He said it " weren't the moon 'cos that was out the back....."!! Thank you to Lucy Pringle for sending me this report. |
