REPORT: Nancy Talbott, BLT Research Team (http://www.bltresearch.com/)

DESCRIPTION:  An approximately 10 ft. diameter ring in grass which has persisted through 2 mowings of this 1-3/4 acre area.  The landowner, whose family has owned the land since 1947, states she has never seen anything like this on the property before and thought that the ring looked like a "surge of heat" might have caused it.

This is not a "crop circle," but more along the lines of the sort of rings caused by fungi--although one reported to BLT in 2009 in New Jersey (http://www.bltresearch.com/usacropcircles/?page_id=6) was eventually determined to have been caused by a malfunctioning underground sprinkler system.  We've asked the landowner to look for evidence of fungi, particularly in the darker brown areas of the ring.
