The 12 Apostles?

This circle could also indicate a reference to the 12 Apostles surrounding Jesus. Also the 12 months surrounding the sun. The number 12 is in itself a wonderful number both for many Religions of the world and in the world of Mathematics.

A very interesting and intriguing formation indeed.

A Villanova D'Asti

Magica Meridiana in wheat

A pilot gives us this wonderful image that greets the arrival of summer but also marks the end of a cycle of vegetation, that of wheat.

Margaret Campaniolo

The time inexorably marks the passing of our lives, a time that we feel often slaves, prisoners of a temporal dimension which is not always respects our inner rhythms. Yet since the dawn of time, the question time, the identification of cycles seasons and their measurement, was one of the most important need for humanity: men and time in an indissoluble relationship.

What got all this with beautiful crop circle that yesterday there was reported to the office? Maybe nothing, or very much, but we start in order, in order of time (appunto. ..) to tell the chronicle of Magic Meridiana in the grain of Villanova d'Asti.

Sunday morning, June 29, 2008, did a little 'stock of the situation crop circles in Italy this year on the one hand feeling guilty for not having been able to update Space Freedom with the (few) last formations and the other noting how it caratterizzasse as a season with circles in wheat low-value but after a promising start so with circle of Riesi in Sicily.

Few now hopes to see other circles considered the passage of the summer solstice for several days now and the end, anywhere in Italy, growing cereals. Of these few possibilities, strictly statistical, as the likely beautiful surprises?

Early afternoon on Sunday June 29, 2008, a bout between Internet news Martian with some incredible photos released by NASA and taken by the probe Phoenix portraying the Martian soil to "his" summer solstice (June 25) while on TV to be aired images of an interesting documentary about the sun, time, how the ancient peoples of Latin America that both Egypt and Asia and Europe will lower segnassero the cycle with construction sometimes pyramid, other circulars, others with cracks and windows can be illuminated only at the summer solstice, in a marriage between art, religion, astronomy and life of the fields, whose theme is the time and its measurement.

Sunday, June 29 drawing to a close, not before, for me, take a look at post Space Freedom and behold that time gives me an unexpected surprise.

I wrote an ultralight pilot who signed Alexei D. and that tells me how that very first afternoon, flying fields around Villanova d'Asti, scorgeva a grand design imprinted on the grain and, indugiandovi around, it scattava some images. Returning home the scaricava on your PC and, after a reconnaissance on the web, decided to send to our editorial staff. The e-mail Alessio contain the coordinates of the place that allow us to show the exact location.

We notice immediately that the field is in the territory of Villanova d'Asti along the Borgo Corvaglia connecting to Villanova Poirino, town known for having given birth to another beautiful crop circle season in 2006 (1 - 2 to 3).

With all respect its dimensions that we can estimate approximately looking images: the circle is included in an area between 4 tramlines. Generally between one and the other Italians in the camps, there are 22, 24 meters, which tells us that the diameter of training around 70 metres and covers an area of over 38000 square meters.

A thin ring acts as a border to this remarkable pictogram, with spacing, regular distance, from twelve circles, surrounded by twelve rings, these are "marked" by many romboidi and that irraggiano ideally by a large central circle about 20 meters in diameter.

The overall image that we are offering is of extreme delicacy and lightness, but with an incredible force in the strike the imagination as that of a Sun that, even for a few days, irradierà those fields to finish drying grain in the ear that , Over time, has helped to grow and mature. One last melancholy yet strong embrace of the sun on the grain that plays with the shadows dictated from the body of that strange mechanical bird that is flying.

It asks a few more days of time; scandirà for us moments of joy nell'ammirarlo as a sundial on a solar field at Villanova d'Asti

Space Freedom thanked Alessio D. for the beautiful pictures granted for this article
