The first German formation of 2002 was discovered in an oilseed rape field
at the village of Fritzlar in Hessen. Like the Avebury area, this area
around the city of Kassel with its ancient history in the very centre of
Germany, is one of Germanys Crop Circle hot-spots.

Its shape is a simple angled dumbbell with a small grapeshot circle nearby.
