Observation

Look carefully at the beautiful basket-weave 'lay' pattern in each of the arc-ed segments between the perimeter of the inner hexagon (visual 3D cube seen in 2D) and the circumference of the grand circle. The folded wheat stalks are aligned perfectly either at right angles or parallel to the sides of the hexagon - or swirled in small circular clusters.

FOR VISITING THE CROP CIRCLES.

This was not a 'tramline' ; but one of the 'thin lines' between the blocks with triangles

I saw, on the Crop Circle Connector website, the amazing aerial photographs of the new pattern near Hackpen Hill at Sunday lunchtime and drove off to Wiltshire with my camera. Arriving at the foot of Hackpen Hill, I parked with other cars. Broadcasters were there with microphones and video cameras. I gave a donation to Paul Jacobs who was collecting for the owner of the field, for him to pass on to his chosen charity. My gratitude is extended to the farmer who is permitting access to his land. Just by the road, I met three women walking back along the 'tramlines' - a groovy American woman, a Dutch person and a German person. The American said it was 'incredible' but could not be 'read' as to what it depicted 'at ground level'. The Dutch lady was making her first visit to a crop circle and had found the experience 'emotional'. I walked on across the field then turned sharp left down the 'tramlines' to enter the immaculate formation with all its huge circles; and straight lines; and triangles. I met a beautiful young family from London and took photographs of them on their camera for them. They had seen it on Crop Circle Connector and had driven up from Glastonbury today to see this very special formation. From the lady's pendant, I could tell the parents were interested in mysticism. They were very happy to be in one of the finest crop circles that has manifested itself this year. I then climbed the steep grassy slope of Hackpen Hill to get an overview of the formation. Meanwhile, down in the field, more people were arriving and walking into the pattern via the 'tramlines'. Back near my car I spoke to Paul. Stuart Dike was there also but busy talking to another photographer. I headed home to Gloucestershire, stopping off at a pub in my home town for a welcome beer and snack. I showed the publican my pictures. 'Blokes with ropes and boards' he opined - until he saw the detail and scale of the one I had just visited. So another breathtaking day of crop circle exploration comes to an end - experiencing the 'peace and love vibes' emanating from the pattern; and mixing it with the Mystics and the Sceptics.

Video Field Report Gary King Copyright 2012

My daughter and I visited the new Hackpen Hill Crop Circle formation ( the one reported on your website on 26/8/12 ) on Tuesday August 28, 2012.  We were very fortunate in that we were the only people in the formation for a good 30 or 40 minutes.  We were so engrossed with examining the formation that we didn't take many photos but my daughter had her camera with her ( a Sony NEX-7 ) and she did snap a few photos and I borrowed her camera and took a couple of her with her own camera.  Later that same evening after we returned to London, she was examining her photos on her camera and noticed a small smudge in the lower left corner of one of the photos that I took of her.  When she enlarged the section of the photo we were both surprised to see what looks like a small "creature".  I am attaching the original photo.  Check it out and let us know if you see what we see.
