I enclose an aerial of the formation that I took Sunday 22nd July 2012 at 6.25pm before the farmers started destroying it. Just a minute after we arrived above the formation, the farmers started cutting corridors into the standing crop with a hand mower (as we later learned). But we (the pilot and I) assumed that what we were witnessing was the creation of a formation by hoaxers. We were both very shocked as we couldn't understand how anyone could do that in full daylight. 

When we went to see the farmers today (Monday 23rd July 2012 ) they told us that they discovered it at 8.30 on Sunday morning. They said that they thought it looked "unfinished" and therefore wanted to destroy it before the vandals would come to finish the job the following night. 

The farmers gave us permission both to report the formation, and they also gave us permission to enter the formation and look on it on the ground. We had to promise that the reports would include that the farmer does not want any persons to trespass on his land.
