West Wood Hey Down Serpent
Formation of the 29th July 2011.
Further evidence confirming that the Mathew
Williams Night Vision Video is a fake made to debunk this
genuine non human made formation.

article for this formation and examine the daylight photo which
appears in the ‘Field Report Section’ on the relevant page. The
superb ground level photo taken from the hillside at the head
end of the Serpent shows exactly where the large mansion appears
at Trapshill in the far distance higher and a few degrees to the
left of the gap in the trees. In the video the centre of
intensity of the disputed ‘house light’ occurs in the centre of
the gap. It cannot originate from the house as Williams
originally claimed. However he has now changed his story. His
recent Google Maps video on Face Book draws a line between his
claimed camera position and the large farm complex well to the
east of the mansion, showing the line crossing trees at a small
circular copse. This is false too, as a close inspection of the
Google zoomed image for the copse area will show. The trees
there block the line of sight to the farm.
There are no other likely properties and no
street lights in the lanes which he has said could also be the
light source.
His whole story is full of anomalies. On his
CMTV website he states, quote:-
“Next we can take the camera and night vision
unit as was used on the night to the same location as the
Serpent was in and set up the same shot from roughly the same
location. I think I should be able to find it quite well as I
had to jump over a fence several times to go back to my car to
recharge batteries and swap them over into the camera to
continue the 5 hours of shooting.”
The hillside he supposedly shot the film from
is used to graze sheep as can be seen on Google Map. They are
kept in the pasture and off the road with a continuous wire
fence and there is a gate into the pasture very close to the car
park where Mathew claims to have parked. Why jump over the fence
when a gate was at hand ? He says he went back to his car
several times. How many times is ‘several’ must be more than
two; was it three or four. How long did the recharged batteries
last? He says he has five hours of video but measured via the
Google Map data, his camera position is some 400 metres from his
parked car so he has an 800 metre ( near half a mile) trip per
battery change. How long would it take to complete a change
operation and get back to his camera position? Normal walking
pace is around three miles per hour so allowing for the battery
swap over at the car, the hill
climb, re-setting up the camera and the dark conditions, even
with a torch, he would need a minimum of ten minutes per trip.
Several trips would eat into his filming time, three trips would
lose him half an hour, possibly more, bearing in mind that on
that date there was only five and a half hours of darkness. He
says the plankers had commenced work before he arrived and he
says he did not see the work completed, his story is
unbelievable. To get five hours of video and do the battery
changes he would have had to be at the site a minimum of five
and a half hours. To be unobserved the plankers would have had
to work in the dark for a considerably longer period than when
Mathew was present, but this cannot have happened, the period of
darkness was too short.
The camera angle looking across the formation
which we see in the night vision video does not change
throughout the whole film. Could this happen given the number
of lens and battery changes he claims to have made? The camera
alignment must have been frequently disturbed, the tripod moved
and it would have been apparent in the video Finally, why did
Mathew site the camera so far away from his car when the
formation would have been in full view of almost any position
half way up the hillside? Would he really have given himself the
800 metre time wasting walks and the repeated need to hunt in
the dark for his tripod. Silly man! The obvious answer is that
his whole claim is spurious The video is a Photo Shop or similar
production with images cloned from one or more of the excellent
photos on the Connector site. It must have been quite difficult
to do, it took him 5 months. Unfortunately the end result isn’t
worth the effort, it fails as a debunking operation as so many
of his efforts have failed over the years. Why do his sponsors
continue to support him?

Appendix
The end to end length of this formation,
based on the approximately 2metre wide wheelbase of a typical
spraying tractor, is over 1000feet. It would be an enormous
task for any human team to create in the hours of complete
darkness between the 28th and 29th of
July. Sunset was at 19.58 hrs on the 28th and sunrise
at O4.18 on the 29th the day of its discovery Taking
twilight into account the plankers had about five and a half
hours to complete the formation unobserved. Mathew says he has
five hours of night vision camera tape of its creation. He also
says he missed the beginning of the operation and that he ran
out of tape before it was completed. Judging from the amount of
work done as shown at the end of his night vision video and from
the progress made during his filming, there was a great deal
more planking needed before sunrise. Also it is obvious that to
achieve the symmetry and accuracy of the formation seen in the
various CCC daylight photos, setting out the datum points, arc-
centers and construction lines in darkness would have required
very careful work and would have consumed a lot of the total
time available. As there was only some five and a half hours of
darkness the setting out would have had to be done in a very few
minutes before the five hour night vision
video start shows the planking well under
way This seems to be a very tall order in view of the enormous
size and complexity of the formation, and, it is complex!
All the curves would have required a radial
measure based on a fixed center. In plankers terms, this means
a man must stand and rotate at a central point holding the end
of a measured length of rope or tape. A man at the other end of
this tape then treads out or planks out the required arc to an
accurate predetermined length determined by markers placed
during the preliminary setting out process. Forming plain
swirled circles is easy by this method but the ones along the
spine of the serpent here require much more consideration.
The central ‘Spine Circle’ scales out at a
diameter of near twenty meters. From this the Spine Circles
going to the head and tail diminish in both directions at a rate
of about eight percent. So the circles immediately next to the
central one have a diameter of 18.4 meters (20x.0.92) and the
next ones down measure 16.93metres. To produce the smoothly
reducing serpent body without distortion these diminishing
diameters must each be precisely calculated, measured and
located exactly on the center line of the arcs of the serpent
body. The plankers ‘must’ follow all the necessary steps as
follows.
1: Create the central circle using a radius
of 10 meters. 2: allow a small space then locate the next radius
of 0.92 meters on the arc of the spine. 3: allow the small space
as before then locate the next radius of 8.47metres on the arc
of the spine. Then continue this process in both directions
for all the spine circles. One major problem for the plankers
here would have been the apparent non-existence of a
construction line marking the centre of the serpent body. How
did they find this absolutely necessary line?
The required precision to two decimal places
or so of the diminishing circles radii and positioning would
seemingly rule out doing the calculations piece by piece in the
field. Adding weight to this opinion is the fact that any
diameter of any circle a given distance from the central one in
either direction is virtually the same. This all points to one
conclusion. For a team of plankers to make this formation, all
the arc radii, circle centers and diameters would have to have
been pre -calculated and fully dimensioned on a very accurately
drawn plan. A ‘measure and work as you go’ process could not
have produced the symmetry and precision we see at West Woodhey
Down. Mathew Williams’s night vision video is a crude piece of
Photo Shop work, uselessly used to support a claim that The
Serpent was the work of plankers. What may have convinced
Croppie researchers that he has a valid claim would be if could
produce the fully detailed working plan drawing as shown to be
necessary above and provably dated to before the formation
appeared, but, of course there never was and never has been
such a plan.

interpreting this formation. It seems some how urgent that I send you

I very much think we are being helped with this concept now so that we
do not annihilate ourselves. I am unsure how to say this without
sounding like Chicken Little.

An extraordinary connection between West
wood down (29th July 2011) & Cow drove hill (18th June
2011)
It's surprising how CC enthusiast
ignore relating different crop circle & prefer to
decipher them on individual basis. Please refer to the
attached picture, how beautifully the dots are
connecting & what CC makers were attempting to
communicate apparently.
It's my firm view that with very limited time CC makers
are left with, all the CCs are related to the upcoming
events. As per my understanding, never ever they have
referred to any future date after 28th March 2013 nor
they are drawing very complex formations (like earlier
times when wisdom, quantum physics & astronomy was in
focus). CCs couldn't be simpler than what we are
witnessing right now. They explain all the important
future events if we could inter-relate different
formations in a logical way rather than blind shooting
on keyboard. Definitely they are not so complex that one
has to dig out the concepts of "ET CORN GODS" & "6
Prelude stages up-to 2090" :-)).
For West Woodway Down formation on
29th July, If any celestial event occurs on 22nd -23rd
July 2011 & will it affect earth? hardly any thoughts
but one thing is bugging me up "Why EARTH & VENUS were
on the same orbit if you care to notice in the

Most observations of this formation indicate a serpent or a
snake glyph. However, if you look at the head you'll see it
represents an Earth worm known as the
Shovel-headed Garden Worm,
'Bipalium kewense', was
first discovered in the hothouses of the famous Kew Gardens in
England in 1878 (its scientific name means 'plate-headed worm
from Kew').

Fascinating the chosen animal is one that buries itself
in the ground or 'of the earth'. While
Venus is separated from the Earth by the Sun, at this
time and can't be seen, we can think of Venus as
visiting the underworld. Then it re-emerges in a new
role as the Evening or Morning star.
It is said: When an Earthworm appears, it is time to
work over all we have been experiencing, time
to examine and digest what has occurred in our life.
Then we can cast off what is not beneficial or necessary –
clean house emotionally. This allows new growth. Earthworm
also reminds us that no matter how small our efforts seem, we
are reshaping the earth around us. The past (including past
lives) influences the present and the future. Unless we
recognize and acknowledge the past, we can repeat the same
mistakes. Earthworm also cautions about putting ourselves
into a vulnerable position. We need to be careful when
before throwing ourselves wholeheartedly into something new.
Do not react hastily. Work over the old before starting
anything new. Earthworm reminds us that no matter how
difficult things might have been, new growth and new hope

I want to tell
people what I felt concerning the formation of July 27th, 2011 in West Woodhay Down. I
went there and looked at it from the hill and I felt that it also could
be a dragon. Next year will bet he dragon-year in the chineese astrology
and next year will be the end of the Mayan calendar. This dragon seems
to come from the sun or another lighty star or planet (may be
Nibiru?...), it crosses the earth, separates it in two parts or makes
the poles swip over. It seems to indicate something terrible
coming up. Ea-Enki, the sumerian god which has already
been mentioned by the beautiful seven-point star in Turin
had another name: snake
(in realtionship with the DNA probably as he seems to have created the
human being by genetecally manipulation - after Zecharias Sitchin’s
book The twelfth planet). It seems that this god (wise and

It’s a very well hidden crop formation, difficult
to access and a very interesting design.

Also, in Egypt, first thing he
does is to solve prisoners' dreams and Pharaoh's dreams regarding ear of

The terms: sun crops "Tevuot Shemesh" or "Geresh Yerechim" perhaps moon's
signs, both mentioned in blessings to Joseph, these can be clues to the
phenomenon of crop circles. If there's any explanation I think it can be
found in the period of Joseph followed by the descending of Israeli people
to Egypt, a period which started good, but turned into slavery, all happened
long before the giving of the Tora in Sinai desert. Perhaps Ancient history
is rewritten by nature's Ink &pen. Perhaps the planet knows English as well
as it forgot Hebrew.
In the meantime, I thank my own YHVH and wish I could explain the word
Justic = zedek in Hebrew. A way and portal of getting out of Egypt, Jupiter,

This isn't Exactly designed as
the cc, yet very close to it. Remarkable, like the Nazca lines of
Peru. The serpent mound in OH has a egg near it's mouth. Maybe the
crop circle is saying it finally ate it, lol.
Serpents have various symbolic
meanings, which depends on the source of your information. Serpent
interpretations I have found range from protection to the
opposite-harm. What might interest you is the precise astronomical
alignment of Draco/solstice, see link:
People say it was created to be viewed from above, much like
crop circles. Others insist its created this way for space
communication -hence the view being necessary from above. Could
it even have been created from above?
Possibly a time travel, a ghost? I don't discount the dimension
travel theory all together, as with all our knowledge of space
and light years-- yes maybe it is actually quite a possibility.
So the serpent mound-it's also built
near or on a supposed meteor from a long time ago. The
meteorite which is in the ground, contains a new composition (Fe,
Ni) of life which they say ancient Indians would tap into for
energy. Flocks of birds, by the thousands have even traveled in a
circle formation around the area because the magnetic "GPS like "
part of their brain was confused. A compass wouldn't calculate as
normal too.

factors to be considered when exploring the meaning of these
extraordinary designs. I would think many here are trying to reach

Concerning this great serpent in West Woodhay Down crop circle,
and maybe complementing the excellent reading advanced by CMM:
1. We already had a serpent motif in Wilton Windmill (June 1st)
about which we analyzed Venus conjunctions in periods of 292
days (halves of 584 days cycles), relating an alignment on
August 18 1999 with C. Lewis interpretation of 2005 Wayland's
Smithy (pointing August 18 2007).
2. East Kennett (with its central figure being almost the same
of 2005 Wayland's Smithy crop circle) was pointing in fact the
eclipse on August 11 1999. Reported on July 22, there are 2,173
days backward until August 9 2005 when Wayland's Smithy has been
reported, and, if this last date works as a middle point in
time, the extrapolation of the same number of days backward
again points (2,173 X 2: 4,346 days): August 28 1999. East
Kennett has 17 signs bellow the central figure, that means 17
days before that we had the lunar eclipse of August 11 1999.
Twice ten days (20 pyramids in two sets of ten and ten pyramids
in opposite directions), we had the date of the alignment (28
August 1999 minus 10 days: August 18) and also the lunar eclipse
in Aquarius of 2007 (18 August 2007 plus 10 days: August 28). I
have to mention this here because I think that it could be
related to this amazing serpent of West Woodhay Down,
considering the eclipse symbol of the head and the alignment
symbol of the serpents tongue as interpreted by CMM fellows.
3. From the eclipse of August 11 1999 to that another one on
August 28 2007, there are 2,939 days, i.e. five Venus synodic
revolutions plus 19 days (584 X 5: 2920 + 19 days). In this
crop circle we have 19 circles from the tail to the central
circle meaning a conjunction with Venus, this circle included,
inside another precise big circle containing 5 figures also
related to Venus/Earth cycles.
4. Also, from the eclipse of August 11 1999 to August 27
2011 (which could mean the serpent's head itself, after CMM
reading), there are 4,399 days, i.e. 4,380 days, a venusian
count again, plus 19 days. [Here let me point that following
the interesting analysis made by CMM, the serpent should be
represented until the circle with a number 21 (August 21) and a
head immediately after that representing the precise date of the
Sun and Neptune opposition (perhaps a symbol for 'alignment'),
or even the circle numbered 22 if the head does not represent a
day. So, we have no explanation for 5 or 6 circles beyond that
specific alignment (which is an alignment indeed)].
5. The middle point (4,399/2: 2,199 days) means 2,199 days
after the eclipse of August 11 1999, pointing exactly the date
of August 18 2005, around which is the main message of both
Wilton Windmill and Kingston Coombes, commented previously. And
specially because the same number of days (2,199) from there (18
Aug 2005) to our days give us the precise date of August 26
2011. Perhaps.

I noticed that this new crop circle fits
perfectly as a "messenger of the gods". It represents Mercury in
retrograde which goes direct on August 26th. Mercury is the winged
messenger who carries the caduceus, or serpent.

Others have done a great job
decoding this one, but I noticed something mathematical that no one has
mentioned yet. The circle in the center that others have identified as
corresponding with the superior conjunction of Venus on August 16 is in
mathematical terms a point of inflection, if you were to look at
the middle part of the serpent as a function.
The function it
reminds me of is the sine function, which makes complete sense given the
Venus-Earth synodic cycle. On the graph of sin(x), each multiple of π
(where the function crosses the x-axis) is known in calculus as a point
of inflection. A point of inflection is also considered a critical
point in calculus.
In general
terms, at a point of inflection:
·The function is changing from concave
up to concave down (or vice-versa)
·The first derivative of the function is
a (local) max or min at that point
·The second derivative of the function
changes sign at that point
If we use y =
sin(t) to represent the position of an object with respect to time, we
can also say the following about the inflection point at t = August 16,
2011 (using in place of x = π)…
·The velocity of the object is changing
from decreasing to increasing on August 16
(defined by y’ = cos(t))
·The acceleration of the object is 0 at
that point (i.e., it is moving at a constant velocity momentarily;
defined by y’’ = -sin(t))
An inflection
point is a place of change, a point where objects transition into a new
behavior. Perhaps this CC is telling us that this date marks a turning
point, a critical date of sorts, or perhaps it just marks the transition
of Venus from the morning sky into the evening sky, where it will
reappear in mid September.
From a
mathematical point of view, we are moving from concave down (-) to
concave up (+), so it seems like this would be a positive thing.
However, I’m not thrilled about the idea that we are currently
progressing through the circles toward the forked tongue, but I guess
we’ll see what happens near the end of this month….
