The weather wasn't wonderful at Chirton Bottom on 18th June, but what a fascinating formation. Certainly the best regarding floor pattern for Barley this year. The other surprising factor is that there is a sprinkling of Wheat growing within the Barley. This is across the entire field. The phenomenon can use all sorts of different crops within its circle making process. I have seen this countless times over my 20 years experience, as the Phenomenon will not ignore a plant that it doesn't agree is part of the overall field. This occurred in 1991 at Pepperbox Hill near Salisbury, and also very recently we have seen it at Poirino in Italy, on 13th June 2010.
