Peaks Down Formation

We visited this formation in the early afternoon of Sunday 10th May and it was apparent it had had very few visitors before us. There was no apparent damage to the plants apart from a few being broken at ground level. Most of the stems were bent over and there was no evidence of any scrapping. The crop was lying uniformly on the ground and was fluffy leading us to feel that we had to tiptoe carefully around plants. The standing edges were very distinct.

All the circles were laid clockwise around a central swirled nest or flat spiral area. The centres were in fact not in the centres of the circles but placed slightly 'off to one side'. The nest in the middle of the central circle was nearly two feet off centre.
