When my kids saw East Kennett Longbarrow, nr Avebury, Wiltshire. Reported 3rd May, they immediately saw in it the Pokémon balls that the okémon creatures come out of! Can you add this to the comments and see if it opens another insight? This may not revolutionise the study of this phenomenon, but it is still meaningful to young kids!!

I had a tough time figuring this circle out until I saw these images of a fertilized egg dividing cells.  I think it's a pretty accurate interpretation, but what do you think?

The 4 circles represents Fire (south),Air( north), Water (east) and Earth (west)-in the middle is Space (centre). Please see the image in the attachment. They represent the five Vayus or Pranas of Yoga Sutra. I wish I could tell you more but I'm not a yoga practitioner, I just saw the image in the attachment on these websites:  patanjaliyoga   -> look down on the page for "25 Tattva in Samkhya Philosophy" or Patanjalis_Yoga_Sutra.
