This crop circle includes the pentagram which has a 72 degrees relation to a circle 5 x 72 = 360. This also has a relation to the Mayan Tzolkin which has 260 days and the ratio of the 360 to 260 is 260/360 = 0.7222...  a harmonic of the 72.  The pentagram's 72 is also very close to the 73 cycles of the Mayan Tzolkin for a 52 year cycle for the New Fire ceremony (73 x 260) = (52 x 365) Sept 4, 2008 in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar using the traditional day count was 8-BATZ and this is a important day in the Tzolkin because the Mayan Daykeepers start their initiation on this day.
