The following commentary is based on my work with alphanumerics, an exploration of a potential "English gematria" (Detailed info at http://hometown.aol.com/codeufo/gematria.html).

The system uses a straight serial code of A=1 through Z=26. As with traditional gematria (Greek and Hebrew), words and phrases with matching alphanumeric values are thought to have an underlying correspondence in terms of meaning. Often times the synchronicity of the word/number equations are stunning and thought provoking or at least entertaining. It matters not to me how one perceives the phenomenon. I simply present what I find.

I noticed there are 36 rays extending from the cube. Looks like sun rays. Reminded me of the 36 cells of the Magic Square of the Sun. I perceived the cube inside the hexagon as analogous to a square.

A cube has 6 sides. If each side represents one Magic Square of the Sun (666, see below) then 6x666=3996 The number 74 (as explained further on) is a key element in the Magic Square of the Sun. Using that key element as a divisor we find this: 3996/74 = 54 = SUN (S=19 + U=21 + N=14, sum 54)

The following alphanumeric equations contain references to Jesus Christ. My intention is not to promote any specific religion. It just turns out that over the course of my work I've found the alphanumerics derived from the name JESUS and the title CHRIST have an uncanny way of working into the various themes that I've explored with this system. In this case it can be justified as Jesus is considered by some to have been an extension of the Sun God idea from ancient times. That said, let's continue:

(Note: Regarding the phrase [above], NINE IS THE ALCHEMICAL NUMBER, It is interesting to note the following:

NINE IS THE KEY = 144 = THE SECRET KEY

The number 9 is a key number that persists throughout the canon of ancient sacred numbers although it most often hidden within larger multi-digit numbers such as 666, 432,000, 144,000, 108, 72, etc. The 9 is extracted simply by reducing the bigger number to a single digit. For example 6+6+6=18, 1+8=9). Notice how many of the alphanumeric values in this commentary are multiples of 9. In the case of 144, it is interesting to note that the number 144, in esoteric lore, has long been associated with the concept of light. In our present case, this seems appropriate since the sun is our source of light.

Magic Square Of The Sun

If a "cross" is constructed from the central quadrants, the sum of the vertical is 222 and the sum of the horizontal is 222 (Vertical 92+74+56=222, Horizontal 77+74+71=222)

222 + 222 = 444
444 is Greek gematria for "FLESH AND BLOOD" and "COILS OF SNAKE" (Hulse, The Key of it All, Book 2).

The sum of any row, column or corner diagonal is 111.
222/2 = 111 = MALE DNA + FEMALE DNA = SUN + MOON

111 is Greek gematria value for "KEY", "NINE", and "HOUSE" (Hulse, The Key of it All, Book 2).

The sum of this Magic Square is 666.
When you add the "cross"(222) to the total sum (666) you get 888, the Greek gematria for the name Jesus Christ. Interesting also is the fact that 666 is the Greek gematria for the phrase "The Sun And The Moon" (according to Hulse, The Key of it All, Book 2).

The upper left "quadrant" and the central "quadrant" each sum to 74 = JESUS = CROSS = ENERGY.
The "quadrant" at left/centre sums to 77 = CHRIST = POWER = MATTER
The lower right "quadrant" sums to 95 = I AM THAT I AM = SON OF GOD
The upper right quad is 56. The lower right quad is 95. The number 56 upside down is 95.
56 + 95 = 151 = JESUS CHRIST

74, as mentioned earlier, is a key number in this magic square.
666 = 74 x 9.

If the quadrants are connected in triangular form (using the central "74" as the inward point of each triangle, with the base of any triangle situated along the side of the square), each triangle of quadrants sums to 296.
296 = 74 x 4

Several years ago I was reading about sigils. A sigil is a sign or a seal, a glyph or symbol thought to possess mystical or magical significance. In his book, The Book of Pleasure, Austin Osman Spare said:

"Sigils are monograms of thought, for the government of energy ... a mathematical means of symbolising desire and giving it form that has the virtue of preventing any thought and association on that particular desire (at the magical time), escaping the detection of the Ego, so that it does not restrain or attach such desire to its own transitory images, memories and worries, but allows it free passage to the sub-consciousness."

In a Wikipedia entry it says a sigil "may appear in any medium, physical or virtual, or only in the mind".

It occurred to me then that crop circles might rightly be thought of as sigils. In fact, since the formations in the fields are usually more complex than just simple circles, perhaps they might be more correctly referred to as crop sigils. The alphanumerics took hold straight away:

These three digits (2, 7, and 9) seem as though they might play some hidden role in the theme of tones as related to crop sigils. However, I have yet to discover anything in that regard.
