The
formation sits on top of the south field at Alton Barnes, Wiltshire. An
enigmatic location indeed. Across the valley sits another formation ‘the
apple tree’ in the famous East Field and beyond that, Adams Grave and
the Pewsey white horse.
The
formation spans some 250 feet in diameter and consists of an outer
flattened ring, (approx) ten feet wide. Within this is an arrangement of
squares, decreasing in size towards the center of the event, possibly
with fractal significance.
Rather well constructed but very flat and subjectively lifeless.
