BEAUTY AND THE BEASTS AT BATH

An unusual chain of events, resulted in us sending you this report, from one of our local hot spots for crop circle activity. One of our countries shameful criminal pursues from trouble youths, is Joyriding. The act of driving stolen cars, around streets, at neck breaking speeds is carried out mainly within rundown areas of our local community. However, to use a crop field for their antics is extremely rare in these parts, and indeed Bath district council will need to consider carefully the events that took place here at Clays End.

“It wasn’t until some 7 days later, that we were back at this site again, but for something far more beautiful and purposeful”

The actual date of the criminal damage from these Joy riders is unclear. However, I remember noticing some disturbed markings in these fields on the 18th of July, as I was driving the area, after taking some images of the Heart, just down the road. At the time, these markings were very similar to crop circle markings, but their distribution across two fields was very puzzling from a distance, but I was pushed for time, so no investigation took place. It wasn’t until some 7 days later, that we were back at this site again, but for something far more beautiful and purposeful.

The actual site itself is called Clays End. It is situated on high ground, opposite the small Duchy of Cornwall village of New St Loe, and is around the back of Seven Acre Wood. Unfortunately these fields are used as a dumping ground for all sorts of junk. It’s unfortunate as the general area is very picturesque, but this didn’t stop the Circlemakers leaving a message, partially over the damage caused by beings of much lower intellect.

“However, the events that led up to this formation, were in my eye’s non-coincidental, as the formation decided to appear partially over the Joy riding paths within the field”

The formation that appeared was a major departure of design, from the many patterns that have adorned our local area since 1991. Indeed, the thought bubble circles

placed on each radiating flares, is very similar to a classical Julia Set that appeared last year at Marksbury. However, the overall design, with six inner circles, is normally the type of formation one expects to see in and around the Avebury area. It was however, a remarkable sight and something totally unexpected, not only for us, but the local TV station, which created a rather trashy news item. However, the events that led up to this formation, were in my eye’s non-coincidental, as the formation decided to appear partially over the Joy riding paths within the field.  This is actual evidence of what I have been discussing in the past ‘The interaction effect’. The paths were most definitely an attraction to the Circlemakers to create this design, almost like a reply. What a paradox in terms this has turned out to be. An act of vandalism turned into a gift for all of us!

So what is this formation like on the ground?  Well, I have to say, it is  very impressive! Quite a ripe field of wheat, for an early part of the season, however, the crop was laid extremely flat, and the five circles within the central section, were the most impressive part of the formation. Each circle was spiraled in a clockwise rotation, with the largest being the very central circle. The floor around the outer ring, was in certain places still extremely bouncy in nature, it was hard to walk on it, without making large strides to protect the crop.

The topside flared arm, on the side of the formation, where all the criminal damage had occurred several days before the appearance of this design didn’t actually use the existing pathways from the cars, as part of the design, in-fact it completely ignored them, but maybe their presence within this field caught the Circlemakers attention?  It’s an interesting observation, which couldn’t go unnoticed.
