STRAIGHT TO THE HEART AT NEWTON!

Positioned on one of the most notorious hillsides around the Bath area for Crop Circles, is this small, but delightful Heart formation.  It’s very simple in form, with just a distinctive heart shape, but at this stage it is hard to tell whether the shape is made up of circles inside, of just crop laid around to create the shape?  Time will tell, but it is located just below Seven Acre Wood, which is high positioned woodland, over looking the valley, and the railway embankment, which is the main line to Bristol and Bath. Also, directly below the heart formation, is a site of a Roman Villa, sadly all traces have gone now, but nevertheless a location full of history!

This particular field has been a target for the Circle makers dating back to 1991, when we received an amazing formation, probably the best we have seen this field!

It certainly brought back a lot of fond memories of that time, when I visited this latest shape, and of course this used to be my home once!   The heart itself is located on the steep slope leading down from the woodland, but it can be viewed very well, from the opposite hillside towards the village of Kelston.

Directly behind Seven Acre Wood, on the other side towards the Newton St Loe, is a ancient burial ground, but driving towards Bath, the5e appears to be a very large snaking pathway, which runs across two fields towards the main road. This needs to be confirmed, but we just have two events at Newton St Loe?  More to follow…
