SEVEN-FOLD SNOWFLAKE
This stunning member of the fractal family of formations arrived in the East Field at Alton Barnes, Wiltshire, on July 9th. The 295 feet formation. It is based on heptagonal (seven-sided) geometry - most unusual - (and yet a formation with seven crescents around a ring appeared near Danebury Ring Hill fort, in Hampshire, just a day or two before). This one is surrounded by 147 little circles, and in its centre the crop spirals out from a thick, tightly twisted "bird's nest" of wheat.

As impressive crop circles appear - huge number of
reports of strange lights across the area 9th-10th July, ENGLAND.

It has been many years since I heard so many UFO reports while researching the ever
mysterious crop circles. This past 48 hours has been exceptional for the shear quantity
and strangeness of the reports.
Thursday 9th July: At around 7.0 am the first report was received from Alton Barnes,
Wiltshire of an enormous new crop circle design in a field which has seen many - East
Field, below the ancient burial tumulus called Adams Grave. The design is a
Koch Fractal, Snowflake pattern, like two others seen nearby during 1997.
This one weighs in at over 140 small circles surrounding the snowflake outline and around
300 feet across.
At approx. 11.0 PM on the same night of discovery, numerous army helicopters were
witnessed sweeping the area, as if they were searching for something. Oddly though, some
had their light beacons turned off, while another was flying with a very
powerful search light scanning the ground. Then suddenly many witnesses (I have spoken to
three myself) saw an illuminated sphere being chased by one of the army helicopters. The
helicopter scanned its search light onto some of the researchers as
this chase took place across fields from Adams Grave to the far side of East Field .
This is the same field many viewers of Strange Universe and Sightings TV programs would
have seen the film of two British army helicopters hovering over a small glistening ball
three years ago.
Around two hours before this apparent UFO chase took place, farmer Terry Butcher was
out on his farm to the south, also in Wiltshire, when he told me he witnessed a large tube
open up the clouds. He described the clouds opening from high level to the lowest clouds
in a straight line with two straight edges. He said it was like a long tube, inside which
there was no cloud. Within just moments the clouds filled back in and everything returned
to normal.
Last night (10th-11th) literally thousands of telephone calls were received from Scotland
down the Welsh coast to Cornwall off the south west coast of England. People reported to
Police Stations and to Coast Guards, that they had seen numerous lights form into a shape
like a Z or 2. Coast Guards began to investigate, thinking perhaps they had seen
meteorites. Many said the lights had smoke coming from them, like flares. This-morning
statements were issued on many British television and radio stations from the Ministry Of
Defence who said it was meteorites breaking up, while the Coast Guards said it remained a
mystery. The Coast Guard spokesman said jokingly The truth is out there.
A new major crop formation appeared on the night of the 9th-10th at West Woods to the
north of Alton Barnes. Numerous people (some of whom I have also interviewed) said they
witnessed flashes of light coming from the area concerned - The
British Met Office said there was no lightning in southern England at that time.

Field Report
Around the time that this amazing
formation appeared, we had a spell of probably the most inclement weather this country has
seen for some years within the month of July.
Unfortunately the weather put a stop to crop circling for a few days, and this was enough
time for the rain and wind to damage the East Field formation, specially the intricate
circles around its perimeter.
The images you see here, show the extent of the wind damage, on the outer circles, but you
can still make out the directional flows to the floor construction, which covered nearly 1
acre in size.
Further Evidence of Unusual Military activity on Thursday 9th July.
Following on from Colin Andrews report on the sightings over Alton Barnes on the 9-10th of July, I decided to find out on behalf of the Crop Circle Connector what actually happened on that eventful Thursday night. Whatever happened at Alton Barnes on the 9th, is extremely important towards the phenomenon, as these lights that were chased, could be an actual interaction taking place in front of eye witnesses with the real source of the phenomenon! There has to be a connection to the appearance of the East Field formation, and perhaps the Lockeridge Larva that appeared on the night of the 10th of July.
As we are all aware, the amazing East Field formation appeared on the 9th of July, the very night these lights were witnessed in the vicinity of Alton Barnes. Unfortunately I was unable to speak with the direct witness, but I have a temporary report from the witnesses friend, who received a first hand account of the night in question. I will hopefully be able to speak with them over the weekend.
A crowd of people (uncertain at this stage how many?) were in the middle of a night watch located on Knapp Hill, which is next to Adams Grave. We can safely assume that midnight had passed without incident, however it wasn't until the early hours in the morning when things started happen.
Apparently a sole helicopter started to enter the Vicinity of the watchers themselves, they were amazed to find that in front of the Helicopter was a Orange/Yellow coloured light. The Helicopter was definitely chasing this object, but what was even more extraordinary, was that a small red light was following the Helicopter from behind. So we now have two object, with the helicopter sandwiched between the two, this all to place very close to Woodborough Hill, a place renowned for UFO activity throughout the years. The whole experience was quite upsetting for a little girl that was with the party, who cried that she was more scared of the Army than the unusual Lights being chased.
I was also able to confirm , that a number of wrist watches had stopped exactly at the same time, they all looked at their watches again at around 1.08am in the morning. They had no idea how much time had passed. We also have video evidence it would seem, and hopefully we will have more details on this when we receive it.
An exciting event, and a very important one which could connect light activity to the appearance of the formations themselves. More details soon.
