At Westbury in wheat on the 30th July 1987.  A full account can be read on page 73 in "Circular Evidence".  This photograph is one of the first showing the interest shown by the British Military helicopters.  Pairs of circles with these proportions were seen regularly in the early years - these were found in a field with others and also a set of three circles forming a straight line (see here). The smallest was 4.4 metres dia a/c with a swirl of 0.5 revs, the largest was 8.2 metres, a/c with spiral of 2.0 revs.

Andrews investigations traced the army pilot and the Ministry of Defence sent the photographs to him.

Reported by Colin Andrews.
