A formation @ Lockeridge. Wiltshire. Reported 19/7/00
(Wheat)
We have just had the pleasure of visiting a most pleasing and beautifully constructed formation, not far from the equally
beautiful, Wiltshire village of Lockeridge. Once again our favourite parts of the landscape are being hit with crop circles
of extreme precision and quality.
This latest formation, which is obviously visible from the Alton Barnes, Lockeridge road has, as a central component,
a three leaf flower petal effect extending from the centre of the formation. The flower petals are created using alternating
sections of up and downed crop, which is rather similar in style to the earlier Picked Hill stunner. In this case the petals
have been overlaid with three chunky rings consisting of standing blocks of wheat arranged within the flower to give us
a very pleasing design indeed. Surrounding the main formation is a very nicely laid ring (approx) 10ft wide that has
a very sharp cut finish, this is very much in keeping with the whole formation. Walking around within this quality piece
was a pleasure, there was not a stem out of place.
On the whole this is an extremely well executed and superbly
crafted crop circle with a good deal of feel and atmosphere, V
nice..
The farmer has kindly allowed people into the field to view
this latest marvel, an honesty box is in place. In my opinion
this formation is well worth a 1.00.
