BLT Update - August 1, 2008:
Fosston, Minnesota Crop Circle #1
[Occurred: mid-July, 2008 (date not certain yet)]
Fieldworker Brad Jensen examined the site on
Tuesday, July 29th (we think about a week after this formation
occurred) and observed a very "rough" lay throughout with the plants
only partially flattened in most areas. He observed no node-length
differences and no expulsion cavities and also noted that one of the
pathways creating the "star" inside the ring was not straight (see
path toward top of aerial photo). It was his first impression that
this circle was most likely mechanically created.
However, new information is now surfacing which
must be very carefully evaluated--about both this formation and
Fosston #2. Field diagrams, measurements, plant examination and a
number of other pieces of information will take awhile to organize
and evaluate, but a final report will be posted on the BLT web-site
in the new FIELD REPORTS (HERE )
section as soon as possible.
