Reconstruction of the
2007 Martinsell Hill formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed regular 18-sided polygon of circle 1, pointing up. Number the angular points 1 - 18 counterclockwise, starting at the rightmost one just above the horizontal centerline.

3. Construct a circle, passing through the center of circle 1, and through the angular points of polygon 2, nos. 3 and 8.

4. Construct a circle, passing through the center of circle 1, and through the angular points of polygon 2, nos. 4 and 17.

5. Construct a circle, passing through the center of circle 1, and through the angular points of polygon 2, nos. 2 and 7.

6. Construct a circle, passing through the center of circle 1, and through the angular points of polygon 2, nos. 6 and 11.

7. Construct all other forteen circles, passing through the center of circle 1, and through every two angular points of polygon 2 five apart.

8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, through the third set from the center of mutual intersections of circles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

9. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, through the second set from the center of mutual intersections of circles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, through the first set from the center of mutual intersections of circles 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

11. Draw the connecting line between the upper intersections of circles 3 and 4, and circles 5 and 6.

12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 11.

13. Circles 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 are used for the final reconstruction.

14. Remove all superfluous parts not present in the formation itself.

15. Colour all areas with standing...

16. ...or flattened crop, and finish the reconstruction of the 2007 Martinsell Hill formation.

17. The final result, matched with the aerial image.
