By tradition, the Uffington White Horse was made in honour of the Celtic goddess Rhiannon. Less well known is that the same goddess was also symbolized by birds. Hence the new crop drawing of a bird, pointing to a white horse, seems self-explanatory in terms of ancient history.  But why did they draw it just now? Of possible relevance, there is the famous song "Rhiannon" by Stevie Nicks. It did occur to me here, that Celtic views on reincarnation might possibly be correct.  Thus, some crop circles may be made with specific people in mind, to assist in their spiritual awakening.

What an awe inspiring event this is. From the ground you really don't know where to begin. The surrounding ring is massive and encloses a formation of complex design, each part slightly different in composition. The lay is neat with no broken stems. There are two thin lines at the " head " end, one either side. The " feathers " are neatly portrayed and there is an amazing swirl with tuft at the " tail ". I dowsed it for man made and it returned an unknown. I was enthusiastic about the Rollrights but this took my breath away.
