Reconstruction of the 2006 Silbury Hill formation | ||
1.
Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines. Extend the horizontal centerline to the right.
2.
Construct a circle, the endpoints of the centerline of which coincide with the center of circle 1 and the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline.
3.
Construct a circle, the endpoints of the centerline of which coincide with the center of circle 1 and the lefthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline.
4.
Copy circle 2 to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.
5.
Copy circle 2 to the righthand intersection of circle 4 and the horizontal centerline.
6.
Draw a line, tangent to circles 1 and 5, both at the upper sides.
7.
Draw a line, tangent to circles 1 and 5, both at the lower sides.
8.
Draw the connecting line between the intersections of circle 5 and lines 6 and 7.
9.
Construct a circle, the endpoints of the centerline of which coincide with the endpoints of line 8.
10.
Copy circle 9 two times, to the centers of circles 2 and 3.
11.
Construct a (small) circle centered at the lefthand intersection of righthand circle 10 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the center of circle 1, and move it (copy and delete original) to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.
12.
Draw the connecting line between the intersections of circle 1 and lines 6 and 7.
13.
Construct a circle, the endpoints of the centerline of which coincide with the righthand intersection of circle 11 and the intersection of line 12, both with the horizontal centerline.
14.
Construct a circle, the endpoints of the centerline of which coincide with the righthand intersection of lefthand circle 10 and the lefthand intersection of circle 4, both with the horizontal centerline.
15.
Copy circle 14 to the center of circle 11.
16.
Copy circle 14 to the righthand intersection of circle 15 and the horizontal centerline.
17.
Circles 1, 5, 10, 13 and 16 make up the pattern of the formation.
18.
Colouring all parts corresponding to standing...
