Location: PS - here is the OS MAP reference   Off A345 road Amesbury to Salisbury.  Just after roundabout N. Of Old Sarum, heading toward Salisbury, there is a small road to the right (west) just before the entrance to Old Sarum.  Take small road to next right which is driveway/road with gate.  Formation just after the gate as go down the lane in the field on the right.  Field is on N side of the road and just west of drive (not sure road number).  Wish someone could aerial shot of it before mowed.  Looked very nice
Map: SU137330
Crop: Barley
Description: Variety of circles - farmer came out while we were in and not happy anyone there and that others might find out.  Not sure when formed - one time he said 2 weeks ago, another time he said 'yesterday' (31 July).  Fence barbwire cut where a path thru crop led into formation.  Farmer calmly asked us to leave.  Asked us what we thought it was.  Asked who we thought made it.  He didn't realize his barbedwire was cut.  It looked very fresh to me, but there was a path from the fence thru the crop to the formation, although the fence could have been cut elsewhere and easy access on a tram line.  ?  cut by people wanting to see the formation?  Or hoaxers, although makes it pretty obvious it was hoaxed if that is the case.  It felt like the farmer might harvest to prevent others coming in.  He seemed to be worried more viewers would follow as visible from the north side of walk around Old Sarum on ramparts
