It looks like Kent is on the receiving end of a double whammy, for after a slow start two have come along at once! Discovered on the evening of the 22nd we have a fairly large six-petalled formation positioned quite close to a ringed circle that's a reminder of a late '80's "ringer". It came as quite a surprise to find these formations were in oats...the first time I believe that one has appeared in Kent in oat-crop of this maturity. The formations are situated quite close to the edge of the field and may be glimpsed from the A229 on the left hand side, as you come from the direction of Maidstone travelling up towards Blue Bell Hill.
