I have been told of a new circle (week old?)at Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.....I think it is in the same spot as 1997, Withybrook Lane?? A guy at work is giving me a press clipping with a photograph in the morning so I will investigate Friday evening and get a report and photos to you ASAP. It may be a single circle in barley/wheat crop. M. Newark is investigating in the morning........

Visited the circle on the evening of Friday 11th June, under an overcast summer sky. The formation is in exactly the same position as the 1997   formation, down by the water course in the corner of the field. The formation is in wheat and the crop has started to stand up. I have not taken any  dimensions of the formation as the crop had recently been sprayed, but I  would estimate the bottom circle to be 5 metres in diameter, the length of  the splay 5 metres and the key 2 metres.

Just our of interest, the Sutton Coldfield Observer made a couple of classic  quotes in an infantile article:

"Disbelieving drivers had to look twice at the 30ft wide dent as they passed  a farm alongside Withy Hill Road"...yeah, right!

"Fakers often form circles under the cover of night using planks on bricks".   Planks on bricks?
