A Field Report by the Crop Circle Connector.
Located in a small field, directly next to the Newbridge Marina, and it's Bridge, on the outskirts of Bath is a 40ft single circle.
This area has had its fair share of crop circles in previous years. Definitely the highlight was in 1991 when two pictograms formed either side of the Bath Bypass. The largest of the two, was situated high on the hill, and was associated with an impressive UFO sighting witnessed by a young couple living in Coombe Down, some four miles from this location, near Newton St Loe.
The single circle in question, was placed directly in the middle of the field, next to the main Lower Bath Road. It's floor pattern was extremely interesting I felt, as it contained multi directional flows, which overlapped each other. It was not a spiralled pattern as many people would come to expect, but a platted effect, with no particular design of it's floor construction.
The lay itself emanated from one particular point in the circle, and then flowed out into the circle, and was fluid in its intentions. The circle was 39, by 35ft across, and was not true, it had a slightly flat side, resembling a circle seen in 1995 below Roundway Hill near Devizes.
No presence of mud was found on the stems, and no scrapping marks were visible either. What was noticeable was an outer perimeter pathway, independent to the main floor construction. Another interesting feature was a group on standing stems close to the wall of the circle. The outer pathway, ran behind them, with the main floor pattern forking between certain stalks.
Further down the field closer to the main road, was what seemed to be normal wind damage, but on closer inspection, the pattern resembled something more deliberate, or uniformed in its construction. No pattern was formed as such, but the stems were flattened in two directions, along a linear path. I felt this had to be mentioned, as there may have been a link to the circle appearance. Perhaps this was some residue energy left from the Circlemaking force?
