Located high on the hill overlooking the A3, is a single circle some 40ft in diameter. It's position on Butser Hill was one of the steepest inclines I have seen. The circle wasn't visited to my knowledge, but the floor pattern would have been fascinating, indicating the amount of pressure involved in flattening the circle.

The location itself was quite deceiving, as Butser Hill is in fact an Ancient Britain Farm, situated the other side of the Hill. It incorporates Ancient Farm buildings (See Photo) and the farming life back then. Also, another interesting and picturesque feature of this location, is the Windmill situated directly on top of Butser Hill, and can be seen in Lucy's photograph.

The second single circle appeared a few days later closer to the the village of Clanfield. It was slightly smaller in size, and incorporated two very small grapeshot circles further down the field close the field's boundary. (See Lucy's photo)
