This design was known as the "Eye" formation for obvious reasons, the construction of it was quite breathtaking as the crop was flattened in a very careful and precise way. The semi circles on the outside give the impression of eyelashes, which could possibly be the work of people, but one thing your never sure about, is the circlemakers design intentions. The formation was placed very near a summer Rock festival, which many people thought was the connection with it's appearance. Indeed research is being carried out on a similar design published on a record sleeve by an unknown band, but this does not indicate that this formation was designed for marketing reasons. One thing we always find is that the CircleMakers are always one step ahead peoples perceptions of the phenomenon.
