NAUTILUS RATCHET.
Formed east of the town of Andover in mid July in wheat. It was 60+ ft in diameter. This novel formation occurred in a area where some years earlier an elderly couple had seen lights in the sky described as a Ferris Wheel, with eight lights around a thin ring, exactly like this particular formation The ratchet wasn't part of the aerial display, but its steps conform to lines small lights that were seen.
