A formation @ Bishops Cannings (A361) Wiltshire,
Reported 18/6/00 (Wheat).
The picturesque Downs close to Bishops Cannings have
provided the canvas for our latest & in my opinion, from a
geometrical viewpoint most spectacular formation of the
season to date. Situated on a high slope in a field of wheat,
this work of complex art now dominates the view from the
extremely busy A361 highway.
This crop circle is in-keeping with the triangular theme that
has been very much to the fore throughout 2000. This effort is
without a doubt the best in this current line of thought so far.
What we have here is a circle (approx) 150ft diameter with
multiple standing and downed sections of crop. Together
these sections combined create a geometric structure of quite
amazing complexity. Positioned inside a slender perimeter
ring is a hexagon created from various standing & downed
shapes. Inside this is an equilateral triangle reaching to the
inner edge of the perimeter, this is also created using the
similar method as the hexagon. Inside this triangle and tilted is
a smaller triangle of downed crop, this obvious tilt gives the
whole formation a flavour of motion and rotational movement
in a style which I think is quite unique. At the edges of the
three points of the main triangle are semi-circles that appear
to give the formation an additional multidimensional facet (See
diagram or photo & squint) (to Follow)
When viewed as a whole including the 3D crop lay this is quite
a breathtaking crop circle.
