1. Sevenum (Limburg)
A simple but highly interesting, 7 m diameter circle in a potato field, discovered in the morning of June 30. The soil was too soft and brittle to walk on without leaving clear footprints (note my ‘demonstration-footprint’ at the right on the first photograph). Interestingly, the downed plants had theirs stems dehydrated from about 2 inches to about 4 inches above the ground. This can be seen on the close-up photograph.

2. Hoeven (Noord-Brabant)
In the night of Sunday June 6 to Monday June 7 1999, between 1:00 and 1:30 AM, an eye-witness noted what he thought was a bright star low at the sky. Its color was of a very bright pink. When he noted that the light slowly moved, it seemed to be actually quite close, and float above the young barley field behind his house. Suddenly, in just a few seconds, the light transformed into a elliptic, transparent shape, shining its light faintly down on the field. Then it dimmed out. He ran outside, into the field, where he discovered a 9 meter diameter crop circle. He noted how the soil, the plants as well as the air inside the formation were warm. Next morning, upon inspection of the formation, a small adjacent circle was found.Because of the highly interesting eye witness report, the formation was extensively sampled by the DCCCS (an abundance of both plants and soil samples were taken). The preliminary results are highly interesting: node length increases of over a factor of 2 were found, with a perfect circular symmetry (see below). Research is currently ongoing with the aid of the BLT team.
Samples were taken at equidistant positions along three cross-sectional lines a, b and c, from one edge of the circle (position 0) across the centre (4) to the other edge (8). Per sample 20 stems were taken. Left graph: average node length per sample. Right graph: results for control samples, each consisting of 20 stems, taken at random positions in the standing crop, up to distances of 60 meters away from the formation. 3. Hoeven (Noord-Brabant)
Early in the morning of June 12th, a second formation appeared in the same field of the previous Hoeven formation. This time the eye-witness noticed a bright flash of light above the field, after which he discovered the formation. This formation was also extensively sampled, experiments are currently ongoing.Photograph Copyright©1999 Eltjo Haselhoff
4. Nieuw Vossemeer
A small circle with a wide ring around it appeared (presumably) in the night of July 17-18.5. Berkel-Enschot (Noord-Brabant)
A formation of 3 circles was discovered on July 23. Diameters: 25, 8 and 8 meters.

6. Kilder (Gelderland)
This formation was discovered by Rudi Klijnstra at the end of July, when it was about a month old.Diagram by Bram Opdam
7. Zeddam (Gelderland)
This pictogram was discovered on July 24, and was about 50 meters long.Diagram by Bram Opdam
8. Beek (Limburg)
A single circle was spotted from an airplane on July 25, close to Beek airport.9. s' Heerenberg (Gelderland)
Visited by Rudi Klijnstra at the end of July, after harvest. The rings had diameters of 20 and 10.5 meters, the F-symbol was 14 meters long.10. Nieuwerkerk (Zeeland)
A huge pictogram was found near Nieuwerkerk. It was claimed as a hoax by Remco and Rob Delfgaauw. It took a team of 15 people to lay out the design at daytime (land-owner was in the plot), and lay down the crop overnight. Although little details about their work was revealed, we know that the hoaxers used very advanced equipment.11. Zutphen (Gelderland)
On the first of August, a pictogram was discovered in the same field where the 1996 formation appeared. Circle diameters: 12, 11.50, 8.50 8.50 and 6 meters respectively.12. Wieringerwerf (Noord-Holland)
Visited in August, but estimated to have appeared in mid-July. Two pictograms with a total length of some 80 meters. Along the edge of the field, along a small canal, a strip of crop was found which was purple-coloured. Many skewed cut-off stems and burn marks inside the formation.13. Schermerhorn (Noord-Holland)
On August 7, a formation was discovered along the road from Hoorn to Alkmaar. It consisted of a large circle and a pathway, with another circle at the end.14. Eijs (Limburg)
Another circle was reported near Eijs. Not visited by DCCCS.15. Schermerhorn (Noord-Holland)
A second formation in the same field was reported on August 26.16. Elkenrade (Limburg)
Discovered in mid-August.17. Hoeven (Noord-Brabant)
During the night of 6-7 October light flashes where seen above the field where the June formations had appeared. The morning after, 3 circles were discovered in young oil seed rape (diameters: 15, 5.5 and 2 meters). Interestingly, two circles (12 and 2.4 meters) were added during the night of 15th /16th October. During that night a giant, bright object was witnessed above the field. The total length of this formation was 80 meters.
