Sevenum, Limburg, Holland. Reported 30th May.
Updated Saturday 5th June 1999

A not very spectacular, yet highly interesting formation in potato plants! Discovered Monday morning June 30, 1999, in a private kitchen garden in the small village of Sevenum, in the south-east part of the country. In a clear circle with diameter of about 7 meters all potato plants were squeezed against the ground, not in any particular direction. No footprints or other indications of human involvement whatsoever were discovered in the soft soil, and the plants showed no physical damage. Clear dehydration marks in the stems and leaves (see close up photograph) may reveal the involvement of quite intense heat.
