Montebello, Quebec, Canada. Reported 10th August.
Updated Wednesday 18th August 1999
Preliminary Report - August 15, 1999
Another crop circle report received by CPR-Canada, the third so far for 1999.
Report initially received on August 10, with follow-up on August 15 from witness who found
it. Located about 10-11 km north of
Montebello, Quebec off Rte. 323. Formation is large ("football field sized"), in
hay, and said to be already old and weathered looking when first found on July 15, on
rolling, hilly ground. Described as "similar to report no. T774" in Colin
Andrew's Winter '99 newsletter (which is the "serpent" formation from East Field
this year). Witnesses' son describes it as more like the word "Asperges".
This report is preliminary, further details when available. Witness reportedly took photos
and will forward copies.
Is there anyone reading this who would be close enough to possibly follow up more on this?
We currently do not have a coordinator
yet in Quebec (but maybe we will need one!) and my work schedule prevents me from going
that far right now, especially when the report has not been fully documented yet as being
significant.
