The only reports of cc activity I've had in the States so far is a number of randomly-downed events in Maryland, south of Annapolis (where the Naval Academy is). From eye-witnesses it appears that 2 fields had what I think in the UK you call "Dragon's Feet" type formations (another one of which we sampled in Street, Maryland, a couple of years ago, and where a very peculiar, black with various colored rings, object was photographed) in them....definite circular areas of standing crop in the centers of these things. The other reported field had downed crop all around the edges, a situation which I'll bet is the "over-fertilization and subsequent weather damage" scenario. These were all reported Memorial Day Weekend (May 31) and, because we have sampled several similar events in the area, and because the field personnel are not as interested in sampling these less geometric events, and because it was a Holiday weekend and people were busy with family, etc., we didn't bother to sample it. I may be getting photos, but don't have them yet. Nothing else reported yet here in the States, to my knowledge.
