crop= wild grass

A 46-48 foot diameter circle appeared in a wild grass field near the town of Elida Ohio. The circle is swirled counter clockwise but the underlying lay of the pattern is very complex. There are several very thin pathways that criss-cross the field in curving patterns. We got to the formation the day after we heard about it, but it is at least 10 days old to maybe two weeks old. We took radiation measurements but found nothing strange we didn expect to this late either. BUT about one of every 100 stalks was charred or singed.The formation was discovered by a pilot who flew over the site and reported it to the local sheriff deputy. He went out to the site and declared it to be a hoax he was obviously an expert. The circle was reported in a Toledo Ohio paper 200 miles away but the local papers didn't even cover this Roger Sugden a MUFON investigator informed me about this site. His father-in-law lives in Toledo and saw the report in the paper and telephoned him in Indiana. Right next to the field is a house about 150 feet from the circle.
Here are some pictures of the grass circle we went to see in Ohio (two mosaics and a picture of a standing flower due north of the centre of the circle.

I took 3 rolls of slide film in the Indiana formation, 85% of which came out extremely dark or completely black -- mixed in was this overexposed bright line at the bottom of some of the frames. This also happened in the Sugar Creek circle. My Pentax camera flipped out. In the Sugar Creek grass circle I watched the light meter turn itself on and off and jump all over the place, I even showed it to the other people I was with so they could verify it. My friend Jason Braden had his brother's brand- new Minolta and it completely stopped working entirely!
