Update Monday 9th September 1996
Four reports by Anneco Blanson Henkemans and a map showing the locations of each formation.
Number:1
Westerschouwen Island, Schouwen Duiveland, Province Zeeland
This formation was visible from the ramp of the dyke going in the direction of Schouwen to Noord Beveland on the right hand side.
Number:2
Noord Beveland, Near Nature Reservation, "The Schotsman".
The formation is visible coming from Walcheren direction Noord-Beveland on the dyke, on the right side of the road/dyke just after the Nature Reservation "The Schotsman.
Number 3:
Renesse, Rampweg, Schouwen Duiveland, Province Zeeland.
Three circles in a line.
Number 4:
Schrendijke, Near Ellement, (Near Renesse) Schouwen Duiveland, Provine Zeeland.
The location was behind the Grevelingen camp site on the Elkerzeeseweg.

Seen on 22th of August:
1: Westerschouwen.
Island: Schouwen Duiveland. Province Zeeland. This formation was visible from the ramp of the dyke going direction Schouwen to Noord Beveland on the right side. I was there with other visitors, and a lot of people had visited it already, as it could be easily seen from the dyke.
Form: circle.
Diameter: around 6 meters I guessed afterwards.
Crop: wheat
Flow of the crop: anti-clockwise.
The crop was lying flat on the ground.
2: Noord Beveland, near nature reservation "The Schotsman".
The formation is visible coming from Walcheren direction Noord-Beveland on the dyke, on the right side of the road/dyke just after nature reservation The Schotsman.
Form: circle with a diameter of 6 meter I guessed
afterwards.
Crop: wheat
Flow of the crop: anti clockwise
The crop was not lying very flat and was partly getting up. While just being in high
spirits standing in the circle a rather angry farmer suddenly appeared ! I gave him 10
guilders "entrance fee". As I didn't ruin any of his crop and used the already
made path to enter the circle I didn't feel too guilty. This path was very small, about
15/20 centimetres, so only a few people must have been in the circle. I planned to ask the
farmer before entering the circle, but I asked a couple of people and saw no one around.
Seen on 24th of August:
3: Renesse: Rampweg. Schouwen Duiveland, province Zeeland. There was an issue on this circle in the local , Zeeland, newspaper. Dick van den Dool of the British CCCS went to have a look straight away, when he heard about it and "he was glad to discover it was a real one" the newspaper says.
This information is from the newspaper: The big circle has a diameter of a little bit more then 12 meters, the two small ones about 4 meters.
crop : wheat.
Flow of the crop: anti clockwise.
The formation could be easily seen from the road along the
dunes north of Renesse.
The form: a halter, consisting of one big circle and two small ones. The very friendly
farmer Arie Hanson was already busy harvesting the crop when I arrived. Half of the
"halter" was gone when I saw it and took pictures. After my not too nice meeting
with the angry farmer in Noord Beveland I was probably so very very very polite this time
that I was invited by the farmer to his home ! His wife gave me copies of newspaper
clippings.
An employee of the farmer discovered the circle when he was controlling the wheat on "wheat lice". Interesting detail: the lice within the circle had died and outside the circle it was still there. Mr. Hanson will save the wheat from within the circle as sowing-seed for next year, to see if it grows faster !
4: Scharrendijke near Ellemeet. (near Renesse) Schouwen Duiveland, province Zeeland.
Location, behind camping Grevelingen on the Elkerzeeseweg.
Form: one big circle (diameter 19 meters) and one small one (4,5 meters diameter). Opposite the small circle (the "head") was a sort of "tail". The tail was 7 meters long and 40 centimetres breed. (I measured this by taking steps).
The tail was pointing NWW
Crop: wheat.
Flow of the crop: anti clockwise, the big as well as the small circle. In the tail the wheat lay direction NWW. When the circle was discovered, in the middle of the big circle some wheat was standing up ( a bunch of around 15 centimetres).
Thank you Anneco Blanson Henemans. :-)
Latest status from the Dutch CCCS: 60 reported crop circles (23/8)!!! I got the last reporting yesterday, at Zutphen, province of Gelderland.
Two more reportings from the CCCS Holland:
- Voerendaal (pictogram) - found 18/8/96 - Wanroy (18 m diameter circle) - found 9/8/96
This is the official CCCS-Holland report.
It will replace all reports from the Netherlands so far.
The total amount of registered circles/formations is now 49. (August, 13th).
More then from 1986 till 1995. In that period 47 circles were registered.
