Before reading this article, I want to ask
everyone who can go as far Chicoana, respect and
care necessary for the good of the local
producers who have suffered losses in their work
due to both these mysterious drawings as income
of people.
On Friday
October 26 the call receipt of a colleague, Mr. Gustavo
Cavallo informing the development of new crop glyphs in
Chicoana, which apparently date back a few days ago
(Sunday 21). I had been
a few days earlier, on Sunday 14 and had not signal, and the
wheat was not yet at their peak of ripeness.
This time I
noticed that they had virtually no wheat fields, I could
only have three of them, one from the village, and two at
the main entrance, to the sides of the path. I remember
thinking at that time - "This time the producers teased the
drawings because they do not sow wheat"
Just before
crossing the bridge into town to find the two wheat fields
and see that both are drawings, not very large, but located
in the centre of the plantation.
In the
picture is observed in the central agroglifo planting, makes
no access to the area, making it very difficult for a group
of people have entered with elements for marking.
I checked
myself in trying to enter the field, they made a path
about a meter, and with great care not to ruin the ears, and
yet remained the same brand.
This
photograph I could take it from a vantage point in the area
because there is no way to get up to see better, but I could
get permission to go on the roof of a van from which you
could see in better detail than from the ground.
Here an
overview from the roof of the van, is the best I could get.
The drawing
is about 25 meters and the
extension
and is the largest.
It is
located in a field next to the path to the village, in the
area called "Las Mesitas", and is the same area where they
appeared in previous years, varying according to the field
of wheat has been planted.
In the
other camp the drawing is smaller, about have about 7 or 8
meters., And the impression I got is as if it were a
swastika three curved arms (see picture).
Both fields
are separated from each other by one in which there has been
planted this year.
My attempt
to enter the drawings closely filming was frustrated by
people who were guarding the place with orders to prevent
access, it's a shame, but perfectly understandable if you
consider the damage they have suffered these plantations
each occurrence these drawings.
Highlight
the last was last year, when on reaching a field affected I
found three parked tourist buses and lots of people invading
the fields
(see here)
Disappointed by the inability to enter the sampling of the
affected ears, I headed into town to collect some
testimonials.
In this
case successfully because chicoanenses kindly answered all
my questions.
In short,
not to weary the reader, this is what I know talking to
people:
The
producers (farmers) of Chicoana decided not to plant
wheat because of losses suffered in previous years with
the issue of crop glyphs.
These
losses are due not only to crush large expanses of wheat
seed of unknown cause, but also the amount of spectators
that come into the fields to take pictures and trample
healthy ears, adding additional damage, as all ears
flattened or trampled, to be under thirty centimetres
above the ground, they can be harvested by machines that
have the blades at a height of 30 cm above
the ground.
(And
this explains and justifies the refusal of the peons to
let me into the fields).
The
People
of Chicoana, due to the large number of complaints about
night lights flying over fields (some called
"flashlights" for themselves because they illuminate at
night sectors of the field), and have almost lost
interest in these phenomena and taken as frequent.
In the
last four or five years have been countless sightings of
these lights.
There
is absolutely no interest (or part of the municipality
or the inhabitants), promote tourism in the area at the
expense of these agriglyphs.
Instead, the reference is to keep a low profile on this
issue to avoid damage in the few fields planted with
wheat there this year.
Finally,
thanks to contact the researcher Julio González find film
footage taken inside the field, the author is Mr. Gustavo
Flores Montalbetti, who travels frequently around the area
and was fortunate to be able to enter the field and record
agriglyphs from within.
This is the
only film that's so far to write this article.
And it's
very interesting because there speaks the author saying he
knows that there will be people's access to the site, and
also describes the layout of the pins crushed.
I got in
touch with Mr. Flores Montalbetti who kindly agreed to chat
a few minutes with me and certified that the area where the
shooting took it corresponds to the pictures I took, and I
must admit I was very careful to enter the field because
there marks left in the wheat fields.
