They are three circles connected with lines. The 2008
crop circle season in Poland has started. The first
signal comes from the village of Nieznanowice.
The circulation of information about creation of crop
circles is quite simple; some local inhabitant informs
the local press about finding signs made in crops, and
journalists, while searching for an opinion on their
articles, call the Nautilus Foundation. For a week now
our phone has been ringing more frequently which means
that the season for Polish crop circles can be deemed
open.
This was also true in the case of Nieznanowice. We have
been informed about the case by Rafał Banaszek of the
local, Kielce-based newspaper called Echo Dnia (Echo of
the Day). The circles have been discovered in a small
place called Nieznanowice, located near the city of
Kielce. According to a description, there are three
small circles (in the middle of a field) made in rye.
They are several hundred metres behind the village of
Nieznanowice, near a forest. They have a shape of an
ellipsis and an average diameter of each of them is
approx. 8 metres.
They are connected by paths whose width is up to 1 metre
(the journalist has made a simple drawing which shows
the shape). He confirmed that there was no well-trodden
path leading between a local dirt road and the circles.
As it turns out, this is the second find of this kind in
the area within two years. In 2007, some 300-400 metres
from the spot, right next to a road, similar crop
circles have been found. The field owner did not want
any publicity back then, and the matter never saw the
light of the day (below is a picture from 2007).
In the case of Nieznanowice it is difficult to ascertain
at this stage whether this very simple indeed formation
in the field can bear any hallmarks of genuineness.
Zbigniew Pasoń.
For the time being the village leader from the village
of Konieczno District of Włoszczowa, Mr Zbigniew Pasoń,
has promised that he will inform about any observations
or findings in the area. Based on the material collected
by the Nautilus Foundation, one can put forward a thesis
that we are dealing with a genuine phenomenon of unknown
origin. Any hoaxes concerning trampling crops cannot
influence the assessment of the genuineness of the
phenomenon. We shall get back to it soon.
