The new formation was discovered in a field next to the village of Pobrezje aside the road between Ptuj and Gruskovje in the Slovenian Podravska region, south of the City of Maribor. It is the biggest Slovenian formation so far measuring about 100 meters in diameter. The local police has no information but seems to have been called in to investigate (?)

Bird Eggs Undamaged in Slovenia Crop Formation

Ptuj, Slovenia, is marked by red circle, southeast of Graz Austria (yellow).

June 7, 2007  Ptuj, Slovenia - Today I received an email from Omer Sabic in Slovenia, a country bordered by Austria, Hungary, Croatia and Italy.

"Hello Ms. Howe,

I'm a reader of the Earthfiles and I have my own 'alternative' blog. Recently, a person has come forward with some intriguing photos of a crop circle that has appeared on 2nd of June 07 on the outskirts of Ptuj, Slovenia. I believe I have not yet seen a photo of a circle with a bird nest full of eggs, unharmed, of course.

I think it is a special photo so I felt like I needed to show it to somebody with  extensive knowledge and the first person I could think of is you.
You can take a look at the picture in my picasa album, here: http://picasaweb.google.com/reptile256/ItniKrogPriPtuju

The circle itself is 100 meters in diameter and the line connecting the two circles is oriented east-west. In one circle, the wheat is laid down clockwise and in the other it's the opposite, as my readers have reported. The aerial photo can be found here: http://24ur.com/naslovnica/ekskluziv/zanimivosti/20070603_3099071.php

Best regards,
Omer, from Slovenia"

On the ground in the Slovenia crop, the bird nest below full of eggs was found
gently tipped over in the flow of downed crop without a single egg broken.
