Gut Wellersen, nr. Goettingen, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) -
December 22,
2006
By talking to two young men on December 22, 2006, crop circle enthusiast Roy Däuble learnt of the existence of a so far unknown and new crop circle formation in a field of mustard seed at Gut Wellersen, near Scheden (nr. Göttingen) in the state of Niederschsen (Lower Saxony). According to the boys two or three rings were slightly visible from the road and in fact when checking this information Mr. Däuble could confirm this to be a fact. Due to the fact that the formation seemed to be quite large – estimated 85 meters in diameter – and that the field was growing pretty irregular and rough it was hard to determine the formation’s design from the ground only. However, the diagram by Roy Däuble showed to be quite accurate when it was compared with the later taken aerial. The formation consisted of a smaller central circle with two partly very irregular concentric outer rings. This central piece was surrounded by eight large rings that seemed to rotate around it. Three of those outer rings were obviously much wider then the others that were only visible as thin lines crossing each other. The outer ring segments that created the formations outline were additionally „decorated“ with the already known weave-line, created by semi-circles/rings attached to the central path. Also the outer rings showed very prominent geometrical irregularities in shape and placement. Together with the rough appearance of the central ringed circle this causes a quite rough, irregular and nearly unfinished taste to the design as it could be seen from above. A little distance way from the main body a small wide ring gives this formation some kind of signature in a similar way that previous formations discovered in this area between Göttingen and Kassel. On January 12, 2007, Roy Däuble visited the field again and discovered that the formations design had cahnged since his last visit: According to Däuble the above described weave-decoration was not part of the original design.Because of the fact that the real date of creation is unknown the ground qualities were hard to judge. Because of the continuously bad weather we were unable to get aerials before January 14, 2007. But anyway, what can be seen on the pictures seems to be a sad continuation of a series of poorly man-made formation in this area in 2006.

Goettingen, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) - October 18, 2006
On October 18, 2006, a new formation was reported to us within a field of yellow blooming mustard seed plants near Goettingen in the state of Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony). The formation is just hardly visible from the ground but was (allegedly???) discovered by plane. A ground-observation on October 22, discovered that it was actually a double formation, made of a seven-fold complex but crooked and irregular performed flower design and a similar performed spiral with six windings ending in a small arrowhead. We are currently investigating the question if the spiral was part of the original design discovered and reported on October 18. The designs do follow the style of other formations discovered this year in this area (Meensen and Jühnde) - unfortunately also in the way they were performed. Because at least some of those previous formations were definitively man-made and with a look at the aerial pictures, it is hard so see here anything else than a pathetic attempt to copy the real phenomenon. However, visitors such as crop circle researchers Dirk Möller described that the way especially the flower design was at least laid into the oilseed-rape-like plants looked much more precise than the spiral and that there was little damage to the plants. In fact the visitors felt that they did cause much damage than what was originally present. (However it has to be said as well that none of the visitors had previous experience with crop circles in mustard-seed-plants.) The plants will be ploughed under as soon as the first frost hit the field. On his flight on October 25, 2006, Dirk Möller also discovered another small but even more crooked spiral in a neighbouring field (see: Archive). It just looks as if somebody was practicing here how to flatten a spiral into such crop...

Juehnde, Niedersachsen - October 1, 2006
On October 1, 2006, a new formation was discovered in a field with man-tall-growing triticale (cereal) crop at Juehnde (near Meensen) in Niedersachsen (Lower Sachsony). The crop is unusual late because it was sowed out in early June because it will be used to create organic energy. The formation made a pretty rough and clumsy appearance in design with some nice but also some bad looking parts of the flattened crop. Especially the centres looked very trodden and broken. The designs looks remarkably familiar to the previous formations discovered in the same area at the nearby village of Meensen. Evidence for mechanical pressure and action was discovered all over the formation.

Meensen, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) - August 11.08.2006
After a first formation was discovered on August 1, 20006 in a field of wheat at Meensen in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) and caused a relatively large media interest, some days later (at least on August 11, 2006) two more formations were discovered in fields very close to the first formation. One formation was made of a central circle with three outer rings. 11 semi-circles were placed on the middle ring while the outer ring was marked with 17 pointy triangles. Three visitors - independently from each other - felt what they described later as some kind of "very tangible electrifying tension" while being inside this formation. Further information as well as aerial pictures are still pending Diagram: Andreas Müller REPORT BY ANDREAS MÜLLER |

One formation was made of a ringed circle. On one side of this ringed circle some sort of "flame-design" was placed. On the opposite side a long and pathway emerged into the field. Also two smaller circles were positioned nearby. Within the "flame-design" the crop was flattened in a very chaotically and wild - nearly violent - way. Meensen, Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony) - August 1, 2006
A new crop circle formation was discovered by farmer Henning Bunzendahl
in his field of wheat at Meensen in the state of Niedersachsen on August
1st, 2006.
The formation consists of 12 circles decreasing in size. The two biggest circles are surrounded by rings and the smallest circles emerges into a wave-line that connects a further small circle with a semi-ring around it. The whole design is similar to previous formations discovered in this region but also shows the style of this year's man-made projects conducted by the FGK. UPDATE: The hoaxer of the described man-made project declared that he has nothing to do with the new formation and no knowledge about other hoaxers who claimed it...

Oberhausen, Bayern (Bavaria) - July 15, 2006 On July 15, 2006, Diana Koch discovered a new formation in a field of wheat at Oberhausen just next to the B16 road, near Neudorf in the state of Bayern (Bavaria). In 2001 a formation was discovered not far from this new crop circle formation. The formation is made of seven circles placed on a central axis forming crescents and a line of attached circles with diameters between 14,9 m and 2,5 m (see: Survey diagram). Diana Koch and Oliver Gerlach discovered small holes ca. 10 cm deep and with a diameter of ca. 1,5 cm in each circle's centre. The formation must have been made during the night of July 14/15, 2006 as Oliver Gerlach was passing the still empty field on July 14.
Further information and pictures still pending.

Location: Marloffstein (n. Erlangen)
County State: Bayern (Bavaria)
Discovered: 06.07.2006
Crop type: Weizen / Wheat
An elaborate key-shaped formation made of a central circle, concentric
ring-segments and straight paths was discovered in a field of wheat on
the morning of July 6, 2006 by Mr. A. Bund when he was looking out of
his window at Marloffstein, near Erlangen in the State of Bayern
(Bavaria).
The design is based on a simple circle-geometry and seems to shows a few
irregular features within it. However, to judge those a real aerial
picture would be necessary to judge those details.
In the night the formation must have appeared, Mr. Bund made the
following observation: „ I have to admit that i truly think that I saw a
small and yellow light just above the field. I am saying „above“ the
field with full intention as this might have been a small lantern
somebody did put up in the field to
support his activities.“
Further investigation are still pending...

for
the one (hoax-latern) nor for the other (genuine and unexplained

Niederbiegen, Baden-Württemberg - July 2, 2006
This "formation" is just an advert-stunt by a local advertising agency. The picture shows the first step, made in four nocturnal hours. It will be finished on July 8, during they. We will update this report as soon as we have more information and pictures about the final result. Funny enough, the next village is called "Niederbiegen" which means "to bend"...it may be questioned if the plants were indeed bend but not broken...;) UPDATE Five employees of a local drink-company that also produces the German cola-brand "Afri Cola" made this crop circles as part of a in-house competition. The formation was made in two stages: One at night and the next - one week later - in daylight. After a dry run in a storage hall, the whole "field-work" took about 10 hours. The team informed about the intentions and background of the project the local media which helped to keep possible confusions about the formations first step - that did not show that it was the Afri-Cola-Logo - as small as possible.

Doernberg, near Kassel, Hessen
Germany's first formation of 2006 is just a man-made copy of a formation
that was discovered nearby in 1999. The making was commissioned by the
"German Association For Crop Circle Research (FGK)" under the head of
"Project Reconstruction" to bring claims by a local hoaxer to test.

Gut Burghasungen, nr. Kassel, Hessen (Hessia) - June 9, 2006
On June 9, 2006, a simple ring was discovered by Wolfgang Ring in a field of oilseed rape at Gut Burghasungen in Hessen. As it was not possible to enter the field at that stage of growing it became quite a question if this was indeed a crop circle or just a tractors turning line. Photos taken by Wolfgang Schöppe however do show the ring in the field after the flowers have gone and the ring is clearly visible due to the fact that the plants inside of it still show the yellow flowers in contrast to the surrounding green field. This is not the case in the tramlines. Therefore this supports the view that this feature was indeed a crop circle and not a tramline-feature. Estimated diameter: 20-30 meters.
Estimated width: 2-3 meters. No field investigation was conducted.
