CROP CIRCLES IN SWEDEN 2004 1 Formation |
Updated Wednesday 22nd September 2004
Anna Lorenz, the woman who reported it to us, had never heard about crop circles before, but after some searching on the Internet she found the web site of Norwegian Crop Circle Group and reported the formation to us. Even though there have been several interesting Swedish crop formations over the last years, there is no Swedish crop circle group or web site about crop circles. When we learned about the Swedish formation, Nancy Talbott was visiting Norway. And although the formation was already 2 - 3 weeks old, Nancy Talbott and three persons from the Norwegian group took the 6 hour's long drive over there to visit it Subday 12th of September. It turned out that both a local newspaper and the Swedish national television had covered the event already, turning it down as a prank along with all other crop formations world wide. Television and a local newspaper showed up again on Sunday to interview Nancy Talbott and the Norwegian researchers while they were registering the formation and collecting soil samples. Hopefully this will result in more positive media coverage.
The Norwegian Crop Circle Group will now try to register Swedish
formations on our web site, and will in this way maybe help increase the
Swedish interest towards the phenomenon.
