Farmer Discovers Crop Circles In Solano County

Mystery in the wheat field By Tim Fields

ROCKVILLE, California

I'm attaching the best photo I've got of the Arkansas circle.  Details I have so far:  formed on night of June 6, found morning of June 7, by local pilot; this photo taken morning of June 7th, before people had trashed it.  Circles all appear to be laid clockwise.  Crop is wheat.  The farmer has now cut (harvested) and BURNED the field....to keep more sightseers away, apparently.

I got a field team on the move tonight, but since the field has apparently been not only cut, but burned, I'm going to call them to head back home.  I do have a couple more contacts to reach who may have been in the circles while they existed, and who may have examined the plants to some extent.....if more info is forthcoming from the, I'll pass it on.

To me, the formation looks like a mini triple Julia, and it looks good. But without examination of the plants and/or soil testing, I can't say for sure.  So far no reports from locals of electrical interference, animal reactions, etc.  Will pass this on if I discover it.

Update:  Knobel, Arkansas June 7th "mini-Triple Julia" crop formation
Date:    June 22, 2003
From:    BLT Research Team Inc.

Photo Anomalies:  we have multiple photo anomalies (in daytime shots) in photographs of this formation;  negatives are being examined to rule out negative faults, processing glitches, camera malfunction.

Bird's Nest:   a perfectly intact cup-shaped bird's nest (from a species that nests in trees, not on the ground) with 2 undisturbed eggs was found in one of the circles in one of the "arms" of the formation sitting on top of the laid crop, slightly off the geometric center.  The nearest trees are about 500 ft. away.  This nest was found by the person we think was the first to visit the formation and, thus, appears to have been placed there by whatever caused the circles, after the flattening occurred.

For those who may not have seen this yet, the latest USA crop circle has appeared in Shreveport, Louisana just across the Red River from Barksdale Air Force Base.  The 45'-50' circle is swirled counter-clockwise, and appeared in a field of Johnson grass and weeds in a vacant lot behind a shopping mall.  It was first spotted on Monday, May 26th, and first reported on Friday, May 30th.  No broken plants were found.  There may be another crop circle in the vicinity of Shreveport according to local reports of one spotted from the air a week or two before this one.

It was first reported here with a photo: http://www.coasttocoastam.com/gen/page161.html
A follow-up report appeared in a local paper here: http://www.thetowntalk.com/html/64DCC093-FA5B-4720-AFED-4FDAEF230B3B.shtml

Many thanks to Todd Lemire for spotting this one while I was on vacation in Boston this week!

Sincerely,

Jeffrey Wilson
