On July 1, 2001, a new formation was discovered at Kirchhardt near Sinsheim in Baden-Württemberg.
It's a double of two separate formations - (...or two independent formations?) in a hilly field of
wheat.
The first and smaller formation is a ringed central circle circle of 10,4m in diameter with a
smaller circle - 2,1m - placed like a satellite on the ring - 0,5m wide/16,8m diameter - and two
grapeshots nearby.
The second and larger one consists of a ring - 1,8m wide - with an inscribed square - 29,2m. On the
sides of the square five different sized circles are placed with the central circle of each set (the
third) being bigger than the others. there is also a smaller central circle of 4m in diameter and a
line that follows the perimeter of the square with circles from the inner side. a ringed circle and
a double-ringer - 9,5m total diameter - are placed as well nearby. the total diameter of the main
body is 43m.
Some very interesting lay-details were present as well as the fact that some elements like for
example the described grapeshot features are placed between the tramlines with no
walk-able access.
More data, pictures and hopefully aerials will follow soon.
