Update#1
We now have the awaited aerials of the latest Germany formation. The
following pictures show, that the first impression of a circular body with some
extensions was wrong. But the crab or scorpion-like appearance continues
within the internal design. There is also NO small circle in the field as
reported first. The crop is rye. Further details to follow and more

Preliminary Report
Today on June 21, local researcher Dirk Moeller confirmed a report of a
new formation between the villages of Felsberg and Melsungen in Germany's
circle hot-spot the Zierenberg-Area near the city of Kassel in Hessen.
This is now the fifth confirmed formation with sixth that has still to be
confirmed yet.
The formation was first discovered on June 17, 2001, by locals and is
placed within a field of young cereal crop - yet unknown if wheat or
barley. It can be seen from the top of the nearby Heiligenberg (Holy
Mountain or Saints Mountain ) that is decorated with the ruin of an
old castle very likely marking even older use.
Its definitive design is still unclear, as the viewing angle allows just a
vague overview. What is certain that there is a large circle with some
interior standing elements with a meandering taste. Attached to this main
circular body there seem to be two curved antenna or claws as well as some
kind of tail. In some distance to this shape a smaller circle is placed as
well. The whole design might be some kind of crab-or scorpion-like design.
Frank Laumen will take a flight this coming weekend and we hope to have
more detailed information soon.
Thanks to Dirk Moeller (FGK - http://www.fgk.org)
for its initial report and the first picture.
